I Do Not Want to Change

Living life to the fullest

By Tiago Dunecel 🧑‍💻Published 12 months ago 1 min read

Her words instilled in me a sense of distrust toward everything around me, as I cherished objects not for their monetary value but for the feelings they evoked within me.

Yet, if objects continued to convey those feelings to me, I would have nothing to fear.

Everything that reached me through sight was a landscape I could deeply observe, something that surrounded me so closely.

The transparency of a thin tree leaf between me and the sun was something that would forever captivate me. Birds could keep singing their songs, and I would listen; the grooves of the grass, I would continue to touch; the apples I could taste, I would savor; all the orange blossoms I could smell would please me and continue to do so.

Nothing would need to change, NOTHING!

For I was joyful.

Why would I want to change? Why should I change? Who could change me?

No one should have the power to steal a rightful happiness.
