They are everywhere - on the table, next to the couch, on the desk. I try to ignore them. It’s not my job to clean up after everyone else.

But then I decide I would like a drink, and there are none to be found.

So, I do a lap. I feel like I need a plastic tub like in the restaurants. I round up all the cups, mugs and glasses, and I put them in the dishwasher.

Now I can have my glass of water.

I’ll never understand how one household can go through so many cups in a day.
