Heartbreak, tears, pain, loneliness, power and control.
This was what Alice's marriage had been for thirty years. Alice wasn't allowed to see her friends or family. She'd never been allowed to have friends or wear the clothes she wanted.
One day her husband Jim cheated on her. He thought that it would scare Alice into staying. He knew he had a lot of control over her mind.
He knew because of his reputation, everybody would think she was crazy if she spoke out.
After thirty years of sadness, Alice left the pain and tears behind.
She was free at last.
