"Have you noticed we never say good-bye?"
"Why would we?"

“Are we good?”
“I don’t know, you tell me.”
“So this is all on me?”
“Do you not realize you hurt me?”
“I did not.”
“Do you not remember disrespecting me?”
“I did?”
“More than once.”
“I am sorry. I didn’t want this.”
“I didn’t think, I did anything wrong. I hope you would say if I had.”
“Well, you sent that long message, and you know I don’t like that.”
“You gave me no other way, you wouldn’t even speak to me.”
“I want to talk about this.”
“Aren’t we talking now?”
“I want to take you out and just talk about everything.”
“When?”
“When I haven’t been drinking.”
“Ok. um.”
“I want to explain everything to you.”
“I don’t know what I did to warrant all the mystery.”
“I think about you a lot.”
“I think about you too. Why don’t we just jump and do this thing?”
“ No.”
“Ok, I am just going to put my head down and work.”
“Are you angry?”
“With you? Why and how could I be?”
“ My friends are over there.”
“Oh.”
“Are you sure we are good?”
“I don’t know what you want from me honestly.”
“I don’t know what I want from you either.”
“I guess we don’t have much more to say.”
“Did you finish the books I gave you?”
“This first one I did, it was great, the second one I started.”
“Well?”
“Just words.”
“Just words, huh?”
“Did you read the book I recommended?”
“No, I was probably drinking.”
“I have read more than a 1000 pages on your account.”
“Oh! Doesn’t he write so well?”
“It is good.”
“Just good? I love that series.”
“I know.”
“You mustn’t have that much more to finish.”
“I think I will stop reading it for a while.”
“Don’t you want to finish the story?”
“I don’t know why I should care to.”
“Why? Because of me? Because of this?”
“No. There is just much to read in this world.”
“So that book is just an option for you?”
“Am I not just an option for you?”
“I see what you did there.”
“I don’t think you did. I think that you have missed much of the sincerity of our conversations.”
“This is why I love you.”
“You see where this is confusing, right?”
“Do you think so little of me?”
“I didn’t until you made me.”
“That was brutal.”
“This is brutal.”
“I am not good at that style of communication.”
“I am open to your suggestions, I am only trying to connect.”
“That scares me.”
“Why?”
“Because you are wild.”
“Wild not feral, regardless, I am still a human.”
“I know you are a human.”
“You do?”
“Why do you do that?”
“I am sorry, I am hurt, I did not sign up to get further injury.”
“Who signs up to get hurt? That is why, I am scared too.”
“So you are afraid of it being real, or afraid I will hurt you?”
“I am scared by the intensity of this mirror.”
“I am comforted in finding someone here in the dark.”
“I want to get rid of the darkness.”
“As do I. Wouldn’t it be better to do it together?”
“No. These are my burdens and those are yours.”
“I wasn’t going to toss my burdens upon you.”
“That you can not promise. I just need more time.”
“Life is short. I have been here before. I have come and gone.”
“I know. I live here.”
“Do you know you don’t have to? There is a way out.”
“I have made it comfortable.”
“Wouldn’t it be awesome to see a better day?”
“It might be. I will think about it.”
“So you won’t consider it then?”
“When I haven’t been drinking, I will.”
“Oh. Well, I probably won’t be here”
“Where will you go?”
“Anywhere that isn’t the darkness of my childhood shadows.”
“I bring that out of you?”
“Sometimes. um, well, I guess mostly when you're drinking.”
“Why didn’t you say so.”
“I tried.”
“Can’t we talk about this when I haven’t been drinking?”
“That is exactly what you said.”
“It is just so deep I don’t think I can understand it.”
“It is deep, and sad and rooted in a desire to heal.”
“I also want to heal.”
“You do?”
“Huh! You just did it again.”
“I never thought it would be you I found down here this time.”
“What does that mean?”
“I usually take someone back with me from the shadows.”
“How many times have you been here?”
“That isn’t the point, I feel tied to you somehow.”
“So am I holding you down?”
“No, I think I am supposed to help you.”
“I don’t want your help.”
“I know. You're stubborn.”
“There is something about you I feel too, you know.”
“This is maddening.”
“Maybe when I haven’t been drinking.”
“ Hrm well, your friends are over there.”
“Oh yeah, my friends, I guess I better get back.”
