Granny's Secret Ointment
Vocal Community Microfiction Series - Blush
"Are you sure this will make me look beautiful?" the young woman asked.
"Of course," Granny crooned. "You will be the fairest at the Fair!"
"But the town ladies wear powder..."
"Pah!" Granny waved a withered hand. "Just use this ointment every night and your skin will glow. Works like magic, but better."
The young woman looked unsure, but she slipped the ointment into her basket anyway. The coppers she gave to Granny disappeared just as quick.
"Thank you, dearie," Granny said. "Remember, a dollop every night. Oh! And don't tell the priest."
