Glossy Crimson Ideals
For Raymond G. Taylor's "Oh Jeff flash fiction challenge"

"Oh, Jeff... I love you too... but..."
With her gun to his head, she pulled the trigger, as Jeff trembled on his knees, weeping.
"Why, Sophie?" he gasped in desperation.
Silence hung heavy as Sophie stood emotionless.
"Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь!" she whispered.
His body hit the floor with a cold, final thud after the shot, as his glossy crimson lifeforce pooled around the heels of her shoes.

Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes: I had a different idea at first. That felt too. Lame? I shall not provide a translation at the moment. It's not nearly as short as I'd like, compared to others I've read so far, but, I feel it's long enough.
Oh, it's for Raymond G. Taylor's awesome unofficial challenge, which you can find out more about here:

Unique take on the challenge… I also enjoyed being enlightened by the comments 😊.
Animal farm references?
WOW! That was masterfully done Paul! BRAVO!
Whoa!!! That was nice!!! Of course I have to ask what the Russian translates to.
Meant to comment on this the other day but was not alert. Now I remember wanting to know what that line means. Let me Google it.
But why would she be telling that on the phone to him if he's right there with her? Sorry Sir Paul, I'm just a little confused 😅😅
The spy stuff is a nice touch, Paul! Well done!
The Russian was a very nice touch! Well done, Paul! Have a hard time believing you came up with something lame but this certainly wasn’t!!
A nice and original comradely conclusion to a love story, Paul. Well done and thanks for supporting the challenge
oops. he trusted the wrong comrade it seems.
Google translate for the info! Methinks I need to explore that very very very many unofficial Challenges .
Well, I am not a huge fan of Russia right now, so this slogan actually works. Trust is fleeting. Poor guy didn’t see it coming.
Haha, I have the secret superpower of being able to read Russian! But surely, no one believes in that stuff anymore, do they?
Of course I went and googled it - because I'm nosy like that! Ha! Loved this Paul. I'm really enjoying these super short stories. Great stuff!
Well done, Comrade!
This is a shocking read. Great work and short enough to capture the scene.
If you have to ask why than you weren't paying attention. This worked!
idk if I got the correct translation of the Russian text or not... Google Translator sucks at that! Still, I don't think your story's lame. I Liked it! It felt like a scene from Home Alone 2 when Kevin watches a movie in black and white...
hey now this is great! I like the echo of some...modern events.
