"Ghost Shop...Yala Forest"
It was so eerie to hear the chirping of the birds at 3am on a dark moonless night. Old Hunter Mark's decades of experience in the northern forest led him to walk deeper into the Old Yala Forest, a cursed area that would scare away hunters from nearby decades ago.
The flustered old hunter took a dry banana leaf, set it on fire but put it out cleanly, climbed up the antique wooden shop cawing in fear that it may never have been used before but it creaked as if it had been used to death, "I'm not afraid of a ghost, I'm more afraid of a gun without hit "
The Yala Forest, at night, has frigid fog. The few other blows of wind against the old hunter’s face sounded like the breaths of someone… who had not been human.
As he listened to the wild beasts in the shop, a soft voice started floating from every corner.
"Go back... Don't bother us..."
The old hunter opened his eyes, gripped his gun tightly and sat still, feeling cold sweat trickling down his back. The voice turned into a sound of wailing, a woman's voice, a child's voice, and a giggling sound that overlapped like a circle of spirits dancing in the middle of the forest.
Do we not need to have deer approach the front of the mall? The body was gaunt, the eyes protruding, and the face so odd that the hunter Mark had to look twice… only to discover that the deer’s head belonged to a woman! It had long, messy hair, and its mouth was stretched open in a smile that was so wide it was creepy. It looked up, made eye contact with him and gave a high-pitched laugh.
“Come sit in my mall, why you gotta come sit in my mall, why don’t you ask me first..."
The old Mark immediately shot at it. Bang! There was a bang in the woods, but the creature did not stir. It turned into a black shadow, rose up in the sky, and spread to cover the adjacent treetops.
Before he could react… A pale arm of something reached through the branches behind it and grabbed the hunter Mark's shoulder tightly! The hunter turned back fastly… He saw a female ghost in a Dark dress, covered by long hair on the head and gold coins on the forehead who shouted loudly in front of her!
The old hunter tossed down his gun, rolled down from the high mall, and hit the ground. The crack of broken bones ''crunch'' as he's about to crawl away. All that ground him were fragments of coffins, and old silk, and small prints of many children around him.
A dark shadow that looked like an ''unnaturally large tiger'' came from the side. Its mouth oozed with blood, as though it had just taken down a piece of prey. The ghost tiger slowly walked toward it. The stench filled the air. Hit with its pounce,Mark fell unconscious.
The next morning...
Then one group of villagers ventured to the woods to find something to eat. They ran past the Yala Forest. They found a broken gun in two parts under the store and torn pieces of cloth stained with blood...but they were never able to locate Mark's body again.
A dark shadow climbed up the store, they said, at all hours of the night. Others heard a barrage of gunshots every midnight. Some found tiger tracks like on the round rotten wooden stores the whole time...
It's still in the same place, of course, but nobody ever goes near it anymore...
Because of the last man who sat in the shop... turned into a ''ghost'' sitting there in perpetuity...
If you wade through the Yala Forest at nighttime... and listen to a shot from the dark …
Run as fast away as you can and do not look back...because he might watch it back too.
