Colleen and Marsha were walking down an old logging trail in the woods by Marsha’s house. Colleen had come to spend the night with her best friend, and they were doing what they loved: exploring the countryside.

They had found this old trail and decided to explore it for a while before heading back to Marsha’s house for lunch. They had seen some beautiful flowers the girls picked and put in their hair. A doe and her baby ran across their path, as did several rabbits, a couple of coveys of quail, and a flock of wild turkeys. The day was gorgeous, with hardly a cloud in the sky. The girls were enjoying their walk.

The girls rounded a slight bend in the trail; the day suddenly got darker and quieter. The air got colder, and the girls could see their breaths. The girls suddenly saw a strange-looking girl dressed in all black standing in the middle of the path.

Marsha thought something looked strange about how the girl was standing there, not moving. Plus, it was like the girl had no color like she absorbed all the light around her and made the day even darker. And colder.

The girls kept walking towards the other girl, just a little slower. Suddenly, when they were more than 10 feet from the girl, she raised her head. She opened her mouth and screamed. She ran screaming at the girls and screeching a loud, piercing sound while she ran. She ran right up to the girls and ran through Colleen and Marsha without stopping. The girls cringed as they felt the spirit pass through their bodies and their once luxurious curly brown hair turn straight snow white.

Why would they even approach her? Lol. I loved the part where she ran screaming at Marsha and Colleen. I loved your story!
