Mrs. Bronson, the word around school is that all of this was Johnny’s fault. I don’t know how it happened, but I also don’t know why people are always blaming Johnny for all of the bad things that happen. Like when the fire alarm was pulled last week. Who did they blame? Johnny! And when Billy was locked in his locker. Who did they blame? Johnny! When Mr. Martins butt was glued to the chair, they automatically blamed Johnny. Johnny is the nicest, sweetest, cutest boy in the school. His only flaw is that he hangs around with that Qwan boy. They’re so different.

I came into class just as the bell was ringing. I made it in a nick of time. That’s when Mr. Gates was wiping his face and screaming at Johnny. Johnny was at his desk. What could he have done. Mr. Gates just hates Johnny. Everybody hates Johnny. He tried to kick Johnny out of the class. Johnny didn’t listen at first. He said that he didn’t do it. Now, if Johnny says he didn’t do it, then he didn’t do it. My Johnny is not a liar. He did end up leaving but only because he had to use the bathroom.

I told Mr. Gates that Johnny was innocent. That it was unfair for him to be kicked out of the classroom. I told him that if he did not let Johnny back in, I would help Johnny sue him. I have a lawyer. He told me to see him after class. I didn’t do anything. I had just made it to class. He said that it was to discuss my failing grade. Now he was putting my business in the street. Or at least in the class. Nobody needed to know that.

I have to admit that I was very excited about the project we were doing. We were messing with hydrogen. I wanted to see something explode. Not the whole classroom. Just something small. We had already started when Johnny came back to the class. They had a little heated argument with each other. But when Johnny handed him a note from the principal or whoever, he was allowed to stay. I could tell that this upset Mr. Gates very much. He took the note, balled it up, and threw it into the garbage. Johnny was not allowed to complete the project. We all had distilled some water. He didn’t because he was forced to leave the room.

Another thing that proves that Mr. Gates hates Johnny. It was as hot as an oven in the room. No! It was as hot as a kiln. We were on the verge of dying. It was Johnny that spoke up and asked if the window could be opened. Mr. Gates gave him an evil look as if he wanted to kill him. But when Betty agreed that it was hot, that’s when he allowed the window to be opened. It was Johnny that opened the window. Right away, a stiff breeze blew papers around. Mr. Gates blamed Johnny and threated to expel him if he didn’t clean up.

Just to let you know, I got my explosion. We ignited the hydrogen and there was a loud boom. Noting that could shake the walls. It didn’t even break the jar. The room was still intact. Johnny didn’t do anything.

When class ended, 6 of us stayed around, but Mr. Gates ran out of the room quickly. Did he know something was about to happen? I think he set it up just to blame Johnny. Johnny didn’t do it.
