[FOUND FOOTAGE UPDATE] About that hotel laundry post… the one that ran itself after midnight
By: Inkmouse

Hey,
I didn’t think I’d ever post here, but this feels important.
I work at the same [REDACTED] Inn the last guy posted about — the one with the laundry that supposedly “runs itself after midnight.”
I wasn’t hired until last month, but weirdly, I did hear about him during orientation. The managers didn’t use his name, but they mentioned an “incident” that led to a laundry shutdown. They said it was “electrical.”
Except… the laundry room still isn’t supposed to be in use.
And yet, every night around 12:15, the machines turn on.
What I Found
When I read the old Reddit post (his post), I thought it was fake — creepy writing for karma, right?
Until I found the same time clock he mentioned. The punch card slot labeled “Night Laundry – R. Wilson.”
Thing is, our system hasn’t used punch cards since 2006.
The wall clock above it still runs. But it only moves between 12:09 and 12:14.
The second hand never leaves that range.
The Locker
Two nights ago, I heard something drop behind the dryers — like a heavy thud.
When I looked, I found an old locker wedged behind the lint chute, half-melted, door fused with rust.
Someone had carved initials into it: R.W.
Inside were burned pieces of uniform fabric, a melted name tag, and a safety report dated June 14, 1999.
The cause of the fire?
“Improper maintenance of Dryer #7. Victim identified as Rebecca Wilson (Laundry Supervisor).”
That’s the same name tag the original OP said appeared in the carts.
The Security Footage
Maintenance let me check the camera feed from last week.
Midnight to 1 a.m., the footage looks normal.
Then — at exactly 12:09 — static.
When it clears, every cart is in a different position, and one dryer door is slowly swinging open and closed.
I scrubbed through frame by frame and saw something faint in the reflection — like someone crouched inside the drum, same as the old screenshot Carl supposedly showed him.
But here’s the thing:
This figure turns toward the camera.
And it’s not the burned face everyone described.
It’s his.
The guy who wrote the first post.
The Smell
Tonight I’m covering a double shift. I swear I didn’t go near that room, but the smell — burnt hair and detergent — is spreading into the halls again.
The laundry key is missing from the cabinet.
And someone checked into the staff log under “Night Laundry.”
No one’s scheduled.
When I went to delete the entry, it auto-filled with a new name:
Rebecca Wilson
Check-in: 12:09 a.m.
Check-out: Pending
If anyone knows what happened to the original poster, DM me.
HR says he “resigned,” but there’s no record of his last paycheck being collected.
I’m going to pull one last shift tomorrow to get proof on video.
If I don’t post after that,
please don’t let them say it was electrical.
