The two lovers trekked through the snow-laden fields, their hands entwined. A crisp wind carried the scent of pine and oak as their boots crunched beneath them. Snowflakes sparkling like diamonds in the moonlight.
Finally, they reached a small log cabin, where a roaring fire provided them warmth and comfort from the sting of the wintery night.
Holding each other's gaze, there was a feeling of contentment. Peace. Their daily worries melting into the fire.
This was their oasis from the outside world - from work, families, friends, kids, and... their partners. This was their forbidden escape.
