In the afternoon, the sun closed in on setting just over the water in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This prompted McDaniel Tatt to grab his guitar.

He issued off a few chords and decried the crime that happened northern in his state.

“Wilmington’s not alright…tonight.” He felt a serious pang in his side.

He went to the doctor and the doctor said, “Kidney cancer. You have four months to live.”

He didn’t cry or blubber. He just gripped his guitar and sang about his blues.

“Four months…not too long. Still, I sing this song.” And the sun just sort of set.
