Finding Light Within Shadows

The sun had set, leaving the sky painted in hues of deep purple and hints of orange. Emma sat on her bedroom floor, her back against the cold wall, feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders. Being a teenager was supposed to be exciting and full of possibilities, or so she had been told.
