Family Matters
An "Oh, Jeff" Flash Fiction Entry

"Oh, Jeff... I love you too... but..." Jeanne closed her eyes, reliving the day she'd overheard those words 20 years ago.
Oh, she'd known Jeff was stepping out on her. Why else would she have picked up the extension that day? What she hadn't known was the identity of the tart he'd been whoring around with.
To hear her father break it off with her husband had been almost too much for Jeanne to believe.
It had been a long wait, but worth it.
Now as she watched her ex-husband finally marry the man of his dreams she wondered if her mother had ever known just how close their family really was.
