...The first morning at the Seal Academy passed more quietly than expected. Students examined glowing runes etched into the walls, eyeing each other cautiously—trying to judge who would be ally and who would be rival.

Elaris, Iria, and Kael were summoned by Headmaster Veyl to attend their first magic lesson in the Element Hall.

The hall was a vast circular chamber where all four elements—fire, water, earth, and air—spiraled together. Each student naturally gravitated toward the element strongest in them. Iria was drawn to air; Kael walked calmly toward earth. But Elaris… remained still.

Headmaster Veyl observed her carefully. “If a student isn’t drawn to any element, they have either not awakened… or they can command them all.”

The room stirred with whispers.

The lesson’s instructor was a young witch with sharp eyes: Professor Revana Thorne.

The shared last name was no coincidence. Revana was Elaris’s mother. But she hadn’t told anyone. Even Elaris didn’t remember her.

Revana raised her wand, and four magical symbols ignited on the wall. “Magic doesn’t respond to words—it responds to emotion. If you’re afraid, magic leaves you. If you ignore your inner voice, no spell can save you.”

The first spell: Lumera – Light summoning.

Kael’s wand produced a faint flicker. Iria’s sparkled briefly. Elaris’s wand… remained still.

Revana approached. “Don’t pity yourself. Your fear is locking you away.”

Elaris closed her eyes. She thought of her burdens: the unknown, the loneliness, the weight of responsibility. She inhaled… and whispered:

“Lumera.”

A dazzling light burst through the room. Windows trembled, symbols lit up. Elaris’s wand shimmered unlike any other.

Revana silently stepped back. Her eyes were filled with tears.

That night, while returning to their dorms, Iria came close to Elaris:

“You’re different. Not just because you were chosen… there’s something more. But we don’t know what it is yet.”

Kael lowered his gaze. “And until we find out, we’ll stay by your side.”

At that moment, one of the academy’s outer walls cracked slightly. No one noticed. But far away, a shadowed figure watched it.

And whispered:

“When the final seal breaks, everything will begin.”
