The second day at Seal Academy began with rumors.

His name was Veyric Draven—a brilliant but arrogant student from the Bloodspire family. No one really knew how he got into the academy, but everyone knew he carried a cursed wand carved from obsidian bone.

That morning, while Elaris, Iria, and Kael studied rune alignments in the Glyph Library, a loud sound echoed through the northern tower. An ancient seal had cracked.

Headmaster Veyl arrived almost instantly. “Someone tried to open the Forgotten Gate,” he said grimly.

“The Forgotten Gate?” Iria asked.

“It leads to a world that even the stars have abandoned,” Veyl said. “A world beyond memory, beyond time.”

But something was off.

The magic protecting the seal hadn’t failed—it had been rewritten.

Only one person in the academy could do that: Professor Revana Thorne.

That night, Elaris followed the whisper of a dream. In the dream, she saw a black door floating in a storm of stars. A voice echoed:

"Not all gates are meant to open. But yours was never closed."

When she woke, there was a symbol burning faintly on her palm—one not from the books.

Meanwhile, Veyric stood before the cracked seal, a wicked grin on his face.
