Two sentient beings forgo their final charge.

For the remainder of the time she spent with him, she held gladness in her mind. Everything they did meant they would be entwined, but for a moment.

As they walked through the garden, they lifted their voices like the ungodly host they touted themselves to be.

“I’m going to love you completely,” she reached out her hand and carressed his wires.

He repeated this act of emotional understanding. They knew their batteries slowly died. As the charge began to escape from them, smiled and held each other’s faces.

“Forever we will be in the digital ether,” he said.

“Forever.”
