Disconnected

Save Us From Ourselves

By Angel RushtonPublished 4 years ago 7 min read

There is a land of paradise that exists beyond where a human could ever perceive. If humans were aware of its existence, they would declare it ‘heaven’ but in reality, this place is simply a collective consciousness. This consciousness is made up of billions of individual fractions and each fraction is alight, glowing in a state of pure bliss eternally as though perpetually bathing in a lake of love. Apart from this state in which they live, those consciousnesses are not so different from you and I or from any human on Earth today.

The leader of this utopia, Shaman Kyrios calls a meeting with his most trusted advisors. They vibrate higher than any others on the planet and they hold deep respect for their leader who has never led them astray in the trillions of years for which they have existed in this state of harmonious peace. They sit around him in a circle, with the Shaman in the middle so that he may look directly at each of them as he desires.

“My dear friends,” he begins. “The time has come to discuss the situation of Earth. The situation there is far worse than we feared, and we have limited time to save them before the human consciousness collapses in on itself and disappears for eternity. The technology that has been developed on this planet has grown so exponentially in an attempt by these extremely social creatures to connect themselves to one another. Through their desperate attempts at connection, they have become the most disconnected species in the universe and what makes matters worse is that the majority do not understand what is occurring. Never before has a planet strayed so far from its purpose, so far from connection and so far from love. It is because of this that I must ask each of you for a great favour. I need you to go and collect your best allies, for I have a mission for you all. My trust in you is so great that I know that you will only choose the best soldiers we have for this mission so I leave that decision entirely in your hands. You or anyone you choose to accompany you may decline this mission. Never would I force somebody to go where I am asking you to go. It will be no easy feat, but it is a mission which is absolutely critical. If we fail, we will lose Earth and its inhabitants forever.”

The advisors look around the circle at each other and ask, “Tell us more about the mission. What is required of us?”

The Shaman took a deep breath and began to explain. “For those who choose to accept the mission, I will place you immediately into the deepest trance imaginable. Your mind will become completely disconnected from this world we live in which is full of light, love and peace and be plunged into a human body in the human world. When you awaken in this human form, you will forget everything you know about who you are and where you come from. You will, for all intents and purposes, look, feel and act exactly the same as a human being. The hardest part is that their society will force you to conform to their way of living, a way which believes that suffering, jealousy, anger, violence and greed are appropriate ways to live and feel. A place where depression is more common than compassion. You will feel great pain. Worst of all you will feel a deep, deep loneliness in your heart which you cannot explain but which causes you to long for a thing which you can no longer perceive. It is absolutely essential that you forget this place that we live in now and that you believe that you are human and that you share in their suffering and societal expectations so that you can gather the knowledge which we require to save this planet from its impending self-destruction.”

The advisors nodded. They understood the significance of what was required. A man raised his hand and asked, “What about our loved ones here? Is it possible that we will become so lost in the human society and forget so much about this world that we will be unable to ever return? That we will become trapped in a state of eternal despair just like them with no way home?”

“It is not possible,” the Shaman assured them. “Although your mind will be completely disconnected from our world, there will be a thin cord attached to your soul and the other end will be connected through the belly button of your human body. I will watch the cords constantly until you return. At times you will feel unimaginable pain and at that point the cord’s vibrational frequency will alert me that your soul is in danger of vibrating too low. At that point, I will send you assistance from our world to remind you of your mission and to renew your faith in yourself and humanity. You will perceive these events as inexplicable and call them miracles. At these times, and at others you will naturally experience in your time as a human being, you will get a glimpse of the world which we come from. You will be aware of that feeling for which you so long for just a brief moment. At times it will feel circular, as society swallows you again and you are consumed by your human form and you forget that feeling. You will begin to long for it again. You will suffer many emotional and physical pains while in the human body. But whenever you need me, I will send you the assistance that you need. The lower you begin to vibrate, the more assistance I will send you. I will be your guide and I will never abandon you. I promise you this, my friends.”

A woman raised her hand, “But why must we help the humans? They have done this to themselves. They have had assistance from other planets so many times in the past and yet each time their civilisation fails as it falls victim to savagery and egotism. Why will this time be any different and why should we sacrifice ourselves and our best soldiers to this planet of agony just to help a race which is so determined to destroy itself?”

The Shaman bowed his head to show respect at the woman’s question although it challenged him. “I understand your concern. Earth has failed many times. This is not its first civilisation, and we are not the first to try to help them. But this current civilisation has something the others did not. In among the evil, there is a growing amount of good. There are people who believe in love, who long for a world like ours and who are, right now, actively trying to create love in their world. They are completely outnumbered, and their consciousness is screaming out for help. The humans are evolving. There is so much love desperate to bloom on that planet, but they need our assistance, or they are doomed. Evil lurks heavily in Earth’s darkest corners and continues to threaten to overtake. It is also more urgent than ever because the evil there is so powerful that it is killing the planet itself and unless we act soon there will be no chance at a new civilisation ever being born on Earth again. The human race needs us to prove to them that there is another way to live, a better way to live, perhaps the only way to live. Many of them have a longing inside them too, the same as the longing you will feel if you leave this place to go on this mission. The difference is that you have experienced what you will long for, though you will not know it. These people are so remarkable that they have imagined and longed for a feeling they have no basis to perceive, no concept on which to base it. They have used their collective consciousness to imagine freely what we have naturally. They know that this world they cannot quite explain is possible and they are willing to help you build it if you can show them the way. I promise you this. I have spent time among the humans myself and I have seen firsthand the beauty that they have inside them.”

There was a murmur among the crowd as they discussed their decision. “We will call our best warriors of light to assist us and we will go on this mission as you request, Shaman. Our trust in you is full and unwavering. We just have one more question. How long will we be there for?”

“For myself here it will seem like a matter of weeks,” replied the Shaman. “But for you, you will live there for hundreds of human years, and many lifetimes. Your soul will be flung from body to body and put through all kinds of horrible and beautiful experiences. You must get to know this world from every single angle before you can ever have a hope of saving it, so each life will be very different and teach you many difficult lessons. But when you return here, everything will be just the same as it is now, and you will be welcomed back into our blissful utopia.”

The advisors called their soldiers to the meeting and after all was agreed upon, they laid down and the Shaman placed his hand on each of their heads, one at a time. That was the last thing they remembered before they woke up screaming, then carefully caressed by the arms of their mother. This moment of pure love was their first experience of what was possible for Earth.

And so the mission begins.
