Alexithymia; I feel, yet fail to understand.
As I arose that day, I stared at the same face that's always greeted me with the same mundanity of every day.
"Routine is the key to success!"
That's the value system that my father raised me with. I budget, meal prep, work (though I barely workout), and go home to binge tv before I head to bed, at the same time every single day.
It's all the same. Numbing.
"Hey Jeremiah!" I turn my head to face her, the delight of the office. "Care to join me for coffee?"
"Yes."
Routine broken.
