Chapter Twenty-One:All those That wait and Watch

Manzer and Beatrice are in a terrible panic, they know that whatever that was stepping out of the main building and onto thin air like it was some sort of glass staircase was not something they wanted following them home. As it was they both expected to find sister Therin doing the things that everyone was rumoring her to do, as some sort of Vampire or Cyborg, but the problem seemed to be bigger than that and by a great deal. The scarecrow man was something totally out of their spectrum of beliefs, and boht Manzer and Beatrice saw him force the very will of shadow around him like he was some sort of dark influence.

The scramble to just get Manzers Board and go was now one of life and death, and more danger than Manzer had just suspected then just trying to sneak past a bunch of over caffeinated cops. They had walked right into a dangerous trap, and now things were not children's games anymore, they were running from their lives, from a monster who interrogates others, in order to put a rest to whatever is taking place.

Beatrice has Manzers Board in hand, and now also holds onto the odd stick that was also found in the locker that Manzer had put his board in. The stick itself looks old, ancient in fact, and does not seem to be very strong in composition, but for some reason Beatrice cannot seem to put it down, and it becomes almost glued to her hands. Beatrice tries to speak and tell Manzer that they can go, but Manzer is lost somewhere out in the tall grass that surrounds the Lock Yard. She is unable to get sight of him, and before she is, the scarecrow man standing right behind her in a growing vestige of swirling shadows, and darkness.

Beatrice is shocked, unable to run, unable to get loose from the grip of fear that she feels as this daunting and tall figure seems to be prevalent in all the corners of her mind, his gaze seems to entrance her, and without a single word, he has his hand on her shoulder.

"Tell me girl" He says in a voice that seems more polite than malicious, but also tinged with the distress of a person who does not like having his time wasted. "To whom do you owe your allegiances to at this hour?"

"Wha- What?"

The scarecrow man seems confused. "Beatrice." He says more informally. "I know you are not here collecting magic items for your shop, nor are you here to simply say goodbye to that school mate you lost. I know you have been out of highschool for some time, and I find myself wondering what a girl like you is doing here, in a pace like this, holding that in your hands."

"The- WHat?" Beatrice says crippled by fear.

"Ugh, it really is so hard communicating with children at sunset. I admit that my attire my be befitting of a nightmare, but I assure you Beatrice, answer my questions and their will be nothing to fear."

"Questions?"

"Who- sent you- to get that?" THe Scarecrow says pointing at the stick that Beatrice holds onto. "That is not a toy that you just play fetch with a dog with. I am surprised you can even touch such a thing without being immersed in madness. No night creature has been able to touch that object in years. Who is the person you are getting your power from Beatrice. Be kind, and I will be kind in turn. Waste my time however." The scarecrow says as he pulls a wicked rusty blade from the void in his chest. "Then I will have to ask you a bit more sternly."

"I- Uh." Beatrice says, now knowing that if she does not speak then she might find herself like so many other missing kids in town.

The Scarecrow sits there for a moment, not trying to indulge in anything too serious, but also letting his threat sink in. He, creeps ever so closer to Beatrice's face, looking over her twitch reactions as he judges Who Beatrice might be involved with, he gets the blade really close to her face, touching her skin with the flat edge of it, making sure she can feel the coldness of steel against the hotness of her skin, and what that does to the nerves of someone trying to keep a secret.

"Are you toying with me Beatrice, or are you very much unable to speak?" He says, "These wreaks of a magic most befoul." He says, then stabs his rusty blade into Beatrice's Shadow. "Do not move please, the Werewolf that has beguiled you must be somewhere close by."

"W-" Is all Beatrice is able to say, before the sirens go off in her head, making such a word impossible." A werewolf, is that what Manzer is?" Beatrice thinks as she tries to make sense of the ruin that she has been under for the last few hours, struggling to come to terms with the odd nature of a world that has placed her in a box more deadly than any mouse trap. "No, way- why is he- the shop is- how is able to?" Beatrice says rattling around the odd circles in her mind, not knowing where most answers lie if not just only knowing what shape they have taken.

However as soon as she notices that the Scarecrow's back is turned, she tries to move and get away from this place as fast as possible, however- she is unable to move from where she is. She looks at the rusty dagger that sits in her shadow, and tries to pull it out, but it is stuck like an old tree in a forest, and does not budge.

"Where are you werewolf, I have some things that I need to ask you." He says being more reputation than ever. "If you come out now I swear no to harm your little friend, too badly."

Manzer is pinned. He does not know what to do as he watches this thing towy with them both. Manzer does not move, he does not make a sound, he barely even breathes, but he still tries to keep an eye on what is taking place, on what this thing is and what it wants.

"Do not keep me waiting, Wolf. I know what she is to you, and I know that if any harm comes to her, well- then..." He says pulling out another rusty blade and throwing it behind him at Beatrice. It cuts Beatrice on the arm, and causes her to bleed. " Things might get a little messy."

The Cut in Beatrice's arm is deep, one that makes it so anyone from near or far can see her bleeding. This is a serious wound and causes Beatrice to cry out in shock, and then in pain. The tears flow from her eyes, like the blood does from her arm, and both are making a spot below her in the soil.

"Now that was just one. How about three?" The scarecrow starts juggling knives. "Maybe I can take off an ear this time." He says, sounding more angry. "Oh where is that werewolf? Where are you hiding? " He throws another knife, this one gashes Beatrice across the leg, lacerating her deeply and cutting into muscle.

Manzer, has no idea was it going on, or why this guy is looking for a werewolf. All things considered, Manzer does not think that he is what the Scarecrow is looking for, but so many things are now too heavily added up for Manzer to look past the details. He thinks back to the conversation That Therin had, the odd circumstances of his life that made things so difficult. The blood he was found covered in and how everything was being covered up. MAnzer started to realize that he is not in this as someone treading water, that he is at the bottom of the ocean, as a part of the dark.

It is just then that Manzer can hear a voice, something talking to him from inside himself, something old and mischievous that seems to be growing inside him. It starts with a whisper, an Manzer can barely hear it, but it's there.

"Or maybe we should make things a bit more interesting." The scarecrow waves his hand, and more kids come up out of the shadows. They are bound in rusty chains, kept in place, and all of them are kids from the skate Spot that he had met earlier that day, or had witnessed the body that Manzer had found.

"The scarecrow pulls out more rusty blades, throwing one into the air at Random, and kids are being hit and mutilated left and right. Fingers being removed, ears being cut clean off and left to fester in the grass. Maggots begin to crawl out of the shadows, and dig into a fw of the children, drinking their flood, and feasting on their open wounds.

It is a scene of horror unlike anything that Manzer has ever seen, blood staining the field so close to the watch of so many police officers, and none of them able or willing to do anything.

"How much more do you think they will take? How many school days and photos do you think they will opt out of now with those wounds. If you do not come out, Wolf, I will feed your friends to the worms, adn save your promise for last.

Manzers fury is building inside him. It is a seeded eruption of malice that is just simply waiting to be let loose, as Manzer tries to get the courage to do something, he cannot fight past his fear, and his anguish. By his own nerves he is defeated, and now all of his friends are in terrible danger for it. Manzer clutches the dirt in his hands and cannot face up to the fact that he is letting a group of kids die, because he is unable to face the dark. As Manzer looks down at the ground he finds a small piece of metal, the silver brooch of the girl that was murdered in the field as it has her name inscribed on it. In the reflection, Manzer does not see himself, but can only see a big dog-like creature, staring back at him. As his eyes meet with the strange stare ,a connection is built, and Manzer can hear the voice inside him talking.

"Coward. You are such a coward. A little scaredy cat that spends his day at the library, going through books that have nothing but stupid bit of knowledge in them."

"Shut up." Manzer says in response.

"You are a weakling. If only your mother could see you now, she would be proud of only one thing. How much of a loser that you look like now."

"Shut- up. I am trying to think."

"Think, or lose more. They are getting Cut to pieces out their" Another Kid cries out in pain. " And you are trying to think? Thinking is for flies, not for wolves, Boy."

"Then what do I do, I can't fight him."

"Yes, you can." Says the voice inside Manzer.

"How?"

"You let me out." This comes in a drastic tone, one of a sinister plot that causes the entire world to grow dark. Even the Scarecrow notices, and all the birds and crows in the area suddenly take wing to the sky like so many fleeing rats.

The scarecrow begins looking through the field, trying to find the source of the immense disturbance, and trying to get a handle on it before it gets out of hand. "This cannot be, what kind of-wolf is this?

The voice inside Manzer keeps prodding him, jabbing at his more delicate moments in life. "You are the unwanted child of a mad woman Manzer, She threw you away, wanted to get rid of you. If you let me losoe, I will make sure that no one ever disturbs your peace ever again."

"Why, why do you want out?"

"Isn't it obvious-boy, for the blood. For my revenge."

The field becomes immersed in dark energy. Energy so dark that even the scarecrow is knocked onto his back. ``This is no wolf. This is some sort of-demon." The scarecrow pulls a cross from his chest, getting ready to battle whatever it is that is building its strength in the field. I need to find him, where is he!" He says jumping high into the air.

"All I need you to say is one word boy. Just- one."

"There you are!" Shouts the scarecrow, as he throws the cross into the field with earth shattering force. It is aimed Directly at Manzers heart and sent to do more than just hurt him, but kill him completely. As the Cross hits a good area of the field is flattened, by the force, even a few old trees fall over, and nothing that was standing in the field is left standing, creating a large cloud of earth.

"Got him, Ha ha ha ha!" The scarecrow say as it floats in the air for moment standing on its own shadow, however it does not expect the massive hit comings his was as the cross gets hurled back with twice the force, knocking the Scarecrow off of his own shadow, adn sent plummeting a good distance away. AS he falls, something bolts out of the dust, running past the kids at a speed that none of them are able to see, and so fast that it takes the wind out of their lungs. Its meets the scarecrow as he falls, and with twice the force as the first hit. The strike is so thunderous, that it's heard an entire town away, as people stand and look towards the distance to see what it was that made that sound. Sister Therin included.

"What was- No. No it can't be." She runs out of the police station while talking to a few kids that were arrested, some of Manzers Skating Friends who had managed to get arrested and not caught by the Scarecrow Man. Sister Therin puts a cross on her shoulder and runs out of the building jumping into a souped up car, and pulling away the grip of the road with the high speed tires the shrek at their distress.

Everyone is being befelled by the dirt that was brought up in the clash, and are all confused and hurt, bleeding out into the field, or going into shock because of the body parts the Scarecrow man had taken off of them in the pursuit of answers. Beatrice is still somehow awake, despite the fact that she has lost so much blood, and is holding herself together enough to realize somewhat what is going on. looking over at the Rusty Blade, she notices that it has begun to dissolve, and it has reduced to rot, and maggots in the shadow that it has been stuck too. Everyone's bindings are now let loose, and they are able to move around freely, now that something very unexpected has happened. The world was turned upside down it seems. The very face of everything shattered into the upheaval of earth, that still rains down.

Beatrice looks around, trying to get a grip on what is going on, and immediately recognizes her friends, hurt and bleeding in the grass. In her Shock, one of them has been almost eaten alive, completely stripped of her flesh, but is still somehow breathing. This is the first thing that Beatrice sees, and she immediately starts screaming bloody murder. Other less injured kids run over to Beatrice, like Borris who is able to grab onto her, and try to calm everyone down. He is bleeding badly and missing an ear, but is still able to focus past the pain of what is taking place.

"Beatrice, get a hold of yourself. Listen, we cannot stay here, we gotta get out of here before that thing comes back." He says trying to get everyone else to their feet. The skate kids are used to being badly injured, but some of the other kids take their time in trying to reimagine what is going on. "Be in shock later, Get up!" He says trying to get everyone to run out of the field. They all try to get to their feet and take a few steps, when another noise goes off in the distance. A chain flies past, cutting though everyone who is standing at the waste, and leaving their entrails scattered to the grass. The only things able to withstand it, it the one old locker that sits alone at the end of the yard that acts as a pivot for the chain, as the thing caught at the end spins and circles in like a hooked line, or a dog chasing a cat around a tree, and at the end of this as it hits hard into the almost indestructible object, is a Naked blue cat like monster.

This creature is not stunned by the hit it takes, but is rather enthralled by the anger it feels. It begins to tear up everything on site with long deadly claws, and even goes after the kids who are still alive. It kills whoever it can catch, tracking down and attacking everything that tries to run, and tearing them to shreds, eating and consuming all the blood and bodies it can as it looks for vengeance, like any confused cat would.

Beatrice has to stand by and watch, as her friends and kids she has knows for years, are torn into little bits by the blue Cat monster, and all things in her life are left to the mercy of the creature that now moves on to consume her next. It comes in close, its hands and feet soaked in blood, what was one blu is now black, and purple with the stain of the dire remorseless murder it just committed to, and now it seems Beatrice is next.

The monster looks Beatrice in the eyes, staring into the depth of everything she has ever known or believed in and sneering at it with long bloody teeth. It sniffs her, taking in her scent, then begins to tear into her clothes, and climbs on top of her.

Beatrice is powerless, the creature is too strong, and there's no way to keep it from getting what it wants, and what it want at the moment is to violate Beatrice so close to the blood and guts of her friends, soaked in the darkest moment of her life as so many evil things make their way inside her, and make themselves known. It hurts, more than Beatrice would ever imagine being hurt, by anyone or anything, and as the time comes to a close more surprising things are made known in the confluence of gun fire. Two shots run out, one hits the massive Blue creature, while the other strikes the chain that has been wrapped around its body, severing it from the place it was bound to.

Beatrice feels as though something has struck her, and is beginning to burn inside her body, just to make matters worse. However the gun shot isn't enough and the creature continues. A bigger son rings out, and tha Bleu cat is suddenly torn away from Beatrice, and in a rather violent fashion. The blue cat is hurt, badly by this, weakened in ways that cause it to reduce its size, as it tries to stumble back to its feet.

Sister Therin is now on the scene, holding some type of crossbow that seems to be emitting some sort of powerful field of energy. On the other hand she has a sword, and is staring down the Blue Cat as it writhes in pain.

Therin tends to Beatrice first, putting herself in between her and Monster, but as she looks down to check on if Beatrice is okay, the blue cat is suddenly gone. Therin turns her full attention to Beatrice, addressing her wounds, and trying to keep her out of shock. "I know you can't sleep, my child. But maybe this will be enough. " She presses something to Beatrice's head, and suddenly everything goes blank.

Chapter Twenty Two: The Run

Manzer is broken into himself, losing all reserve for the searing power that courses through the fire in his blood. The change to his body has set off so many different pent up emotions, and lost concepts of animal instinct that send his resolve to cause into a spiraling force of oblivion and disdain, a merciless value to everything as it breaks apart within the solvent of a mind like acid on fire. “Consume everything, leave nothing less than ribbons, turn a blind fury to the weak, and a painful death to those who run”, are the only words being repeated by Manzers mind. He has no control now, no boundaries left, only the wolf that knows no walls and only freedom, only the endless thirst for the ravage of things to take the name of life and have it set within its meager forbearance a futile desire to exist, and all the blood that came with.

Run, hunt, feast, feed, repeat, and all parts of his body screaming for the

Air of realization, fighting for the tempered solution of knowing when such a hellish nightmare will end. Manzer is set beside himself, set beside that physical wrecking ball of the deep cast beast that his living self had become.

Manzer Runs through the alleyways, through the trees, through the streets, bounding from fence post to fence post and past the glimpse of street cameras in the security of stores, too fast to be seen by the limited light that can barely make out the blood covered cat monster. He slashes across cars, yards, fences and signs, leaving the razor sharp mark of a deadly creature, one that has tasted blood and is now out for more.

Manzer stops only to smell the air, keeping himself with the shadows and the shade of the dark night against the light of a late summer, and its thick leaves. So many senses ravage Manzers sense of taste, smell, and ability to hear, his sense of touch makes no mention of the night air or its warmth, all things steer themselves likely mercury pouring through the veins of a deadly maze, one of mind and mayhem. So much carnage, in Manzers sight, like the cat caught on fire, and then set unto a field of landmines and gasoline.

Manzer can sense something following him, something that peers beyond the convenience of light, and the presence of a deadly calling. It seeks to get within Vicinity of Manzer, and is moving fast enough to keep up with his bounds and bounties, and the vicious force that is a cat set loose onto a wild ride. As Manzer stops moving so does it, and their sites catch each other's for the first time, as they make a distinction known. Manzer tries not to get cornered, does his best to keep on top of his mysterious opponent, and tries to keep his ravaging claws in toe with the attempts that it makes to try to get any closer to him than possible. However it dodges, moves out of sight, keeps within the limitation of its own physiology and then still tries to engage. To Manzer this creature smells of a sweet perfume, the type that seems to keep his bitter sense of combat confused and not intruded by the thought that something was here to harm him, more just try to keep him from running wild. Manzer catches sight of her for a moment, the thing that tries to keep him from running a muck through the center of town, and ripping through a number of terrified people. It stopped him before he was able to pounce on someone, or cause more harm than he already has. It tries to hear him away from town, forcing him to stay away from the sharp claws and blades that it has its hands, and keep Manzer from getting his balance. Manzer fights back, with tooth and claw, making an effort of his own to keep the other creature from landing any blows, it fight him across the rooftops, as they tear apart shingles and leave the heating pipes of homes in shreds with their acrobatic display of two shadows of fur and claw dashing across the street lights, swirling and attacking across the scattered debris that catches in the light of homes.

The creature that Manzer Fights lands a heavy strike against Manzers side, then sweeps with a kick of its leg and forces out a hard blast of pure physical force. This sends Manzer rolling down a hill of tree’s, tumbling into a reservoir of rubble and sand, and rocks. As Manzer hits the ground, the other creature lands on top of him, trying to hold down its claws with his own, and making sure Manzer is not able to get up. This is not a surefire strategy however as Manzer throws his opponent off of his stomach, trying to gain control. The two roll around in the dirt, fighting like wild creatures do as they brutalize each other into the depth of a sand hill, with things not turning out for the one who tries to keep Manzer subdued.

They look at each other, fighting for the grasp of the night and what it all means for the fear of those who know not what they do.

Manzer is starting to tire, became enticed by the aroma that seems to keep his senses dulled, and his better nature left to the indistinct. The voice of the wolf inside him fuels him with more rage, endows him with more strength to fight.

“You need to stop!” Says a voice coming across to Manzzer in a magnified sense of sound without presence. As if the creature across from him is speaking directly to the beast that rages in the dark.

“Traitor.” Says a voice inside Manzer and Him, as if someone was holding onto his mouth and moving it for him.

“You are not a wolf, who are you?” Says the monster that tries to keep Manzer in its sites.

The voice says nothing, it just gets more angry, a red and black energy is permeated from Manzers Fur, causing a shift in the reality around Manzer, as it seems all things living die in the sense of his aura and are taken away into the depth of the dark of his spirit. Manzer lunges, and attacks with the force of so many bullets being fired from the muzzle of a well ribboned rifle, and the attack is something that cannot be deflected. Manzer is a flash of black, and the world is torn asunder in the split of a space that becomes ablaze with the loss of a moment in time.

The other creature cannot dodge, she cannot avoid the strike and her strength fails her, her long bunny-like ears flop immediately in the shockwave of the blow and blood splashes against the rocks in the pail of the white lights of a construction dumping yard.

The Rabbit scratches out as the strike lands, and lifted into the distance, the dust she hits explodes, into bits of wood as she crashes through the wall of a nearby trailer office. Manzer howled with Rage, after the strike landed, roaring into the distance.

Sister Therin is driving, fast and hard, swerving through the streets of the town as she tries to make time on her travels in the face of such a tragic outcome. She chases seconds as she slides past the corners of roads, and senses her car into the air down small bumps in the road. In the back of her car is Beatrice, her clothes torn to shreds and her body covered in blood and wound, she is kept within the sealed barrier of her back seat, and under a stable condition as Sister Therein had tried to dress her wounds. Sister Therin is on the Radio communicating with someone as she drives through the narrow openings of the streets, and the limited assertions of the gas pedal in its inability to push past the floor. Sister Therin is on the run too, the figure that was seen doing battle with Manzer is now after Beatrice, and it moves with a wicked speed of bat out of hell. “No, I have got this one handled, make sure someone has their eyes on Manzer.” Says Sister Therein as she makes her way through the roads.

A man's voice responds on the radio almost immediately, “Therin what is that? Who is that?”

“An old acquaintance,” Sister Therin Replies. “Keep everyone as far away from us as possible, i have Bearice in the back seat and am gonna get her to hollow ground. Do not, I repeat, do not get in my way, things will only get worse.”

“The Scarecrow Man.” Says the Voice on the Radio.

“I wish I was someone else. Pray for me.” Sister Therin says as she turns her radio off. Then swerves past the stop light on an empty dirt road. As she does something lands on the top of her car, driving a sharp rusty blade into the roof, and trying to pry through the metal like an old tin can. Trying to make sure that he sticks himself onto the roof, as the car swerves and speeds down the road. Sister Therin begins to say a prayer, and the sigils on her car light up into magnificent white fire, causing it to force any evil things that touch it off of its chasis. The knife the scarecrow man uses to hook onto the lid of the car dissolves and bursts into flames, and causes him to have to lose grip on the top of sister Therins car. As he falls away he fades into shadows, and keeps his speed up on the shadow that sister Therins car creates.

Sister Therin does not lose her pace as she drives like a wild horse running from the fires of a hell storm, the sinister grip of a creature whose limit in travel is the existence of where shadows dwell. Sister therein says another prayer, and her power of car becomes boosted in the speed at which it can carry itself, leaving a trail of holy fire that sings traces of magnificent energy that changes the road into and the tires into burning balls of god sent speed. Sister therein is hitting almost sonic speed, rushing against the drastic fall of the shadows that keep always at the edge of evil, for no protection ever lasts, and all prayers have a limit.

It is at this time that trees begin to fall into the road, big hiking and burly logs that seem to get eaten away by the shadows that sit at their basin, and fall into the hard pressed gravel road.

Sister therein does her best to speed past them as they fall, swerving through and breaking past the lighter branches as the streets crush into the scattered rock of a lonely mountain road, as she keeps singing hymns from her tires that make her sharp turns and aim never fail. She swerves and twists and bends the very will of god and light to her will, but things are still being driven to their limits, burnt to a crisp by the white lights that turn the shadows to ash, and the wind into a storm of smoke. Therins car has limits, theory where not made in the image of god and are therefore not made to withstand their power, she knows things will fall apart eventually if The scarecrow persists, and there might be too much road between her and her goal, of keeping Beatrice out of jacks hands.

Sister Therin knows that Beatrice will be a top target for now, suspected to be involved in whatever is going on and the person who has promised themselves to something they did not fully understand, the pinky promise of a monster that Sister Therin did not fully understand the sinister nature of. Sister Therin knows that she cannot let the Dark side of this town's balance get their hands of Beatrice, as it would mean nothing but a more bloody conflict that would keep turning the entire town into a killing ground for anyone trying to get control of the town turf. As tragic as it was that Manzer killed all of those children, and almost raped Beatrice, the need to get such an odd blue cat creature under the binds of all of the other Monsters still loyal to the “Midnight Kings” would make life much less trivial. The Scarecrow that Followed her now was one of them, too scared to go after Manzer himself and instead stick with a fight he might win, that fight being the control of Manzers leash. Keeping Manzer from tearing up the town would be a hard battle, but getting Beatrice to the safety of a holding facility would be the only thing that wins them the war for Manzes soul.

Manzer has a soul, Sister therein knows this, it makes him special, unlike other creatures and a victim of his own lack of luck. Sister Therin weeps inside for the children she found dead in that field, saying a prayer for the one she found stripped of her flesh by the worms of the shadows of a scarecrow, and the dark things that these monsters do in order to play the chords of a bitter symphony of terrible deeds. Therein only had pity for Beatrice, as no matter how this went, this was going to get ugly and in terrible ways before anything would ever resolve. “God have mercy.” Sister Therin says, as she continues to avoid roads that are surrounded by trees, and the mazes of roads made to handle and confuse those that chase those seeking sanctuary on holy ground.

There is no moon tonight, as only the light of the road would be seen in the cross shaped headlights that sister therein uses to guide the lights of her vehicle. And only in the path of the lord's prayer. Sister therein knows that if she Breaks from this path, then only so many prayers could bring her back, and the scarecrow man was not one to let himself be duped by the edges of a cross, eh scarecrow had nothing to fear from the same things many other monsters did, not in the least.

Sister Therins car is soon to be up in flames, then nothing will protect them from the dense night. Sister therein would need help, and prays that her help, is handling Manzer, and is not in desperate straits.

Back at the gravel yard, ( as both of the instances of fate take place in the same hours of the night) Manzer is is losing himself, losing himself to the carnage and the addictive use of power that surges through his blood, to him it feels the same as biting into the first taste of ice cream, and that is frosted in unicorn blood. The interaction and the rush of the power flowing through him causes him to pause and roar, and holler out the words of a beast unleashed.

“This power.” Manzer says in the vibration of his spirit that shakes the very world around him.

“There's more where that comes from Manzer.” Whispers a sinister voice in the wind. “ Do as I tell you, kill that traitor, eat her flesh, kill and eat them- all!” It says, directing Manzer to the Rabbit beast that sits in a pile of debris, “ She is a betrayer, she betrayed us, her and all of their kind have. Revenge, get our Revenge. Drink her blood, bathe in her gore, no mercy for them Manzer, no mercy.” It says, and the world is consumed by night.

Manzer rushes into the building, Jumps through the hole that is crushed into the the side of a small but sturdy construction office that sits at the apex of the dumbing field. Trying to fulfill his thirst for blood, and a dark deriven vengeance that he does not understand. As he tears apart the Debris Widely, he soon finds himself smashing through the limit of floor, and finding only more dust settling at his feet, and nothing for the nature of the blood he so thirsts for. Manzer looks around, sniffing the air for any remnants of the creature that slipped past him in a rabbit hole, and out into the confusion of the dark. The deadly game of Cat and Rabbits, and the result of those who fight past the limit of a dark moon. Manzer Rages, and digs his claws into the dark, doing as the dark force behind his rage tells him what to do in pursuit of his prey. The world Shifts, as Manzer Cuts through the flesh of reality, sacrificing the blood that covers his slaves in order to follow into a world set apart from our own. As he digs into the dark, he ends up in a world bathed in light, and covered in the moss and flowers of a vast magic realm of lights and smells.

As all of Manzers senses are drowned out by a world they cannot withstand, he finds himself at the center of ambush, taking punches, and hits, and attacks that break Manzers stout defense of powerful rage. Barrage of attacks is fast, clean, practiced, and well appointed to part of Manzers body that would be perceived as the weakest points of his body, and soon Manzer tackled to the ground and pinned. The rabbit says a prayer, a quick murmur of sanity words that have him pinned to the soft moss of this strange place, moss that just seems to sap him of all of his magic and strength. The bunny that stands up from his stomach, is black in color, set out against the light of the background, as something rather to dark to be seen, but as Manzer struggles to fight against the bonds that hold him, this bunny says a words of riddles and rhymes, that seem to change her energy. She tranmorphs, back into the shape of something that is human, and finds herself set aside by an animal, and encased in a mask of armor that makes her seem as though a person only wearing the armor of a rabbit, with a black rabbit standing by her feet.

As Manzer struggles to get free, she begins to speak to him in the voice of a beast. “Calm yourself Cat, you have been defeated, except your defeat.” She says as she tries to pull a book out from a bag at her side.

“Traitor!” Manzer responds in the same vibration of spirit force. “You have bested nothing.”

“Are you going to let that poor boy go, or are you going to keep him deaf to his own will.” The Black Rabbit says as it opens a book that holds the symbol of a long eared Hair on its cover.

“I am in control, girl. He let me in, and now I rule his soul.”

“You are a monster, and you rule the soul of no one. Let him free before I get mean.”

The Beast says nothing, it just begins to power up more using the influence of its rage, all the lights in this world begin to dim as well, and so many stones and trees and mossy slopes almost break and decay into dust.

“No that can't be.” The Rabbit says as it begins to flip through pages. “How is this cat so powerful even my Dream?”

“Your dreams mean nothing to me, all dreams die in the face of my revenge.” The monster says as it breaks through the binds holding it down. Manzer lunges and tries to claw bloody murder out of the shape of the winds in so many sprays of blood, but the rabbit quick, faster for her ability to perceive Manzers attack, She responds and rolls backward, kicking Manzer in the Stomach, and out back into the darkness of the world outside this realm. She follows abruptly and finds herself soon caught off guard by the arrival of a new problem. It seems another creature has joined into the fight. Something that was out prowling or had been watching the fight the entire time, and was now attempting to intercede in whatever this conflict was. This new contender stands at odds, with the cat covered in blood. Its eyes pierce through the night like red fire, and it has very little shape in the shadows that keep it hidden in the corner of the light.

“Well well now, who has awoken me at this hour?” Says this new dweller of the dark. The power of his voice is something that causes even Manzer to reconsider an attack. “A Cat on a wild run, and the hair in over head.”

“It took you long enough to show up." The rabbit says focusing energy into his hands that becomes visible in the dark, SHe gets ready to face both enemies at once. "He has been pinky promised to someone and is in a Death Dream, we can't hurt him and he is too strong to hold down, even in a Wolf's Dream.”

“Really he broke away from that? Powerful indeed. What family is he from?” Says the voice as a figure steps out of the dark, and into the focus of the lights above him. As the light hit him he is wearing a mask, something of a sinister sort in the way of ballroom mask

“Don't let him touch you. Whatever you do. He is more powerful than he looks. I have no idea what family he is from, but not even I can keep up with that power.”

“Isn't this his first transformation?”

“Something is wrong with him, with his wolf spirit. It's like, it's just out for revenge.”

“Never thought a blue cat would be in so much trouble. Sister Therin has told me that this one has tasted blood, and now his wolf spirit might be fully awakened.”

“Therin called you?”

“She called everyone. This guy was moved to the top of a very dangerous list. Everyone is out looking for answers and all the other members of sisters Therins little group have been called in.

A number of other priests and figures step out of the dark. Nuns and other creatures of non-human origin, cursed to make others light up the dark with flares of intense and powerful magic light.

Maner is blinded, unable to move and unable to sense as the shock of the light keeps him from making sense of the shadows that now move in on him, trying to keep him contained and within a barrier of light. However, not even this is enough to stop the raging cat from fighting back. Manzer breaks through the boundary, fighting back in tooth and claw, and spitting blood with the razor blades at the tips of his fingers. The fight raged on into the night, as so many struggled to keep Manzer held down.

“Retreat!” Says the leader of the group, as everyone realizes the cost of challenging the blue ball of speed and fur that cuts into so many throats, and opens so many holy veins unto the world. The blood of holy men, staining part of the ground black.

“I am using lethal force!” Says one of the attackers as he pulls something from the jacket of his coat, that then begins to imbue with magic runes and untold holy power. It is a picture of an angel, and it fires out a blast of energy so intense that the entire area is lit ablaze with the light of a thousand glories.

“The father, the son and holy ghost, amen.” Says the priest, his mask covered in blood and still holding together.” As the light and dust clear, the only thing standing in the center of the crater is Manzer. Still in one piece, and his eyes fuming out rage.

“Fire.” Says another priest, as rain of silver arrows showers down on Manzer like the black tears of the night. The shred into that one spot, a filling Manzer with so many wounds, and so many arrows, that nothing would be able to survive this moment.

All the priests stand with their automatic crossbows, all white hot from the holy energy that they have been imbued with. All watching and waiting to see if their target had finally fallen. The night is quiet, and nothing moves in the shade and shadow of a field that has been ravaged by blood and mayhem, and arrows

“Get Sister Therin on the Radio now- Horn, tell that we-” As soon as these words are said, something begins to stir in the arrows, Something that strikes a look of terror into the eyes of all that look upon it. Manzer is filled with arrows, and has still yet to fall.

“Dear god, How?!”

“What- what is he?” Says The black rabbit, as she gets ready to attack.”

“Manzer, she is almost in the hands of your enemy.” Says the sinister course defilement of a voice.”Find her, kill her, then you will be unstoppable.” Manzer pulls in all the blood that stains the ground and on to his fur, then forces the energy into a bolt of speed, running off into the forest.

As Manzer runs off everyone stands around confused at the sudden run. They were all expecting to die, and now all wait to understand what it was that just happened.

“What was that voice just now?” Says one of the priests.

“The manin the mask turns to the guy that's speaking, he grabs him by the collar and pulls him in close. “What- Voice?”

“It was a voice in the wind.”

“Someone, tell Sister Therin -he is coming.”
