Dear Mom,

A lot's changed since you left, dad's always upset. I don't know where you've gone, Father Thomas said that you're in a better place. He said I would see you soon. I can't wait mommy! We'll have so much fun! Just like we used to. We'll go to the ice cream shop on the corner, I'd get the cup and all the flavors, and you'd get a sundae, just like we used to. It'd be so much fun! I miss coming home and smelling your cookies. My favorite was always the Double Chocolate Special you would make. Then, I'd see them sitting on the stove, and I would walk over and say they were my favorite. You would always forget. Silly mommy! I can't wait to see you again. I know daddy misses you. He's cried a lot since you left. I can't wait to see you again mommy!

Hey mom! I'm 8 now! I know it's been a while, but I miss you. When you coming home. Daddy says that he'll never forget you, you are coming home right? Soon? I know when we go to church, daddy always looks up at the ceiling and says he misses you, and to keep you safe. Where are you mommy? They tore down the sign for the ice cream place. I can't get the cups anymore. I don't get all the flavors anymore, I get the sundae, just like you! Daddy says that I look just like you and soon I'll even be as pretty as you. I keep my picture of you next to my bed. I kiss you goodnight every night. I hope that wherever you are, you feel it, and know I love you.

Come home soon!

Hey momma! I'm 11 now, and I wonder where you are. I'm not gonna lie, I cry sometimes. I miss you. Where are you? Why haven't you responded? I miss you so much! Father Thomas is retiring now and we dinner for him. He asked daddy about you. I know both of them miss you too. (I miss you more though! :) ) Father Thomas said to both of us that we'll see you soon. Daddy talked to him for a minute, then came back to me, and he seemed happier than he has been, since you left. It's been 6 years mommy, when are you coming home? Will you answer one of my letters? I need to see your handwriting again. Dad still plays your voice sometimes, he has it saved on his phone. That helps me go to sleep. Sometimes. Other times, I just stay awake, staring at my ceiling, wondering what your doing. I love you mommy, but you need to come home.

Come home soon!

Happy Mothers day! I haven't forgotten about you, I promise. I've just had a lot to juggle. I have school, and since I'm 17 now, I have to try and get into college. By the way, I hope your proud. I got into UCLA. I also know the truth now. I know in my last letter, I didn't know you died. Someone at school told me. I told them you left, and they said you died. I went home and cried, and dad took me to your grave. We put flowers, tulips, your favorite. It's been 6 years. It's been hard, and I'll never replace you, but I think, as dad said, "You're starting to grieve, which is the only wat to truly get over your emotions." So I'm grieving now. I love you momma. I miss you. But, as Father Thomas said, 12 years ago, I'll see you soon. Don't worry. And when I do, we'll be able to eat all the ice cream we want. Hope all's going good where you are. I know your safe. Dad said you are, and I believe him. Bye momma. Love you, miss you, and won't forget you.

Don't leave me.

Please.

Love

I started writing when I was 10 and I never stopped. I started because I felt it was a great way to express yourself and not have to say it to anyone. I've never been one to tell people what I'm thinking, so writing was a good for me. :)
