The day Sarah's life was flipped upside down was a lovely summer day. She was a successful attorney who had a lovely family and a supportive spouse. However, she got a call one day that would alter everything.

"Hello?" Sarah answered the phone, not recognizing the number.

"Sarah, it's me. Your sister," a voice on the other end said.

"Jessica? Is that really you? It's been years," Sarah said, her heart racing with excitement and confusion.

"I need your help. It's urgent," Jessica said, her voice trembling.

Sarah readily agreed to meet her sister at a nearby park after recognising the worry in her sister's voice. But Jessica was nowhere to be found when she got there.

Suddenly, Sarah felt a hand over her mouth and a sharp pain in her side. Everything went black.

When she woke up, she was in a mysterious, dark room. She was immobile since her hands were restrained behind her back. Her own rapid breathing was the only sound she could hear.

"Hello, Sarah," a voice said from the shadows.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Sarah said, her voice shaking with fear.

"I want you to do something for me. You're a lawyer, right? I need you to get me out of some trouble," the voice said, its tone calm and calculated.

"I don't understand. What kind of trouble?" Sarah asked, her mind racing.

He was identified as a successful businessman who had been busted stealing millions of dollars from his organisation by the voice. He required Sarah's legal knowledge to free himself from the accusations.

However, Sarah was not your typical attorney, and she wasn't about to allow this dangerous and shady man to take advantage of her. She started to plan her escape, use all of the legal knowledge and strategies she had acquired..

"I can't help you. I won't be a part of your criminal activities," Sarah said firmly, her voice rising with determination.

The man let out a cold, humorless laugh. "You don't have a choice, Sarah. You see, I have your family. If you don't do as I say, they will suffer the consequences."

Sarah's heart sunk when she understood how serious the situation was. She needed to find a way out so she could save her family, but the man always appeared to be one step ahead of her.

Weeks passed into days, and Sarah's situation grew more and more dire. She had no opportunity of escaping while being constantly watched. She then overheard the man and one of his goons talking, which exposed a crack in their defence.

The man had a hidden offshore account where he had stashed his ill-gotten gains. If Sarah could get her hands on the evidence, she could use it to bargain her way out of the situation.

Sarah started coming up with a plan while using her wits and legal expertise. The man agreed to let her use his computer after she persuaded him that she was on his side.

However, Sarah was meticulously downloading papers and documents as she sought to establish a case against the man. After weeks of meticulous preparation and execution, Sarah finally had enough proof to bring the man to justice and free herself and her family.

"Sarah, it's time," the man's voice echoed through the room as he walked in, unaware of what Sarah had been planning.

Sarah stood up, facing him with a determined look on her face.The man's face twisted with rage as Sarah held up the evidence, taunting him. "You can either face the consequences or cooperate with me and turn yourself in."

"I will never surrender myself, and you'll never make it out of here alive," the man snarled, lunging towards Sarah with a knife.

Sarah quickly dodged his attack and ran towards the door, but it was locked. She turned to face him, realizing that she was now in a fight for her life.

The man was relentless, swinging the knife with precision and power. But Sarah was quick and agile, dodging his attacks and using her legal training to outsmart him at every turn.

After a grueling battle, Sarah managed to disarm the man and subdue him. She called the authorities, who arrived on the scene to arrest him.
