D.A.D.

Espotech a scientific research company has overthrown all of the major governments of the world. The government of the United States had originally thought they had shut them down. Boy were they wrong.

Alicia the twenty year old leader of the rebellion group R.A.E(Rebel Against Espotech) sits in their underground headquarters. All of a sudden the alarm starts blaring. Alicia radios to Carl her second in command.

"Carl what's happening?"

"We had a security breach. A man entered the tunnel. We currently have him in custody."

"Is he from Espotech?"

"I don't think so. He said it was urgent that he speak with you. He surrendered without a fight."

"Ok, bring him in."

Carl and two others bring the man in and Alicia looks as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Leave us please."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, it's ok."

Carl and his men leave and Alicia begins to talk to the man.

"Dad is that you?"

"Yes it's me."

Alicia runs over to him and gives him a big hug.

"I thought you were dead!"

"No I'm very much alive."

"How did you find me."

"I've always known where you were."

Alicia steps back from him. All of her happiness now turns into an array of mixed emotions. She's happy he's alive but now she's also angry and very confused. She starts to cry.

"Don't cry sweetheart."

"Don't you dare sweetheart me! For five years I thought you were dead! There was even a small part of me that thought that maybe you were alive. That maybe you got lost during the war and was out there somewhere looking for me! Now you have the nerve to come here and say you knew I was here the entire time!"

"Alicia let me explain. You see technically I'm not your father."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm a D.A.D. That's an acronym which stands for Designated Assigned Detonator. The leaders at Espotech thought the word dad would endear us more to our assignments. When you were created I was assigned to you."

"Created? Are you trying to tell me that I'm not human?"

"Not quite. Although you do come from a human embryo you do not come from human sperm. You were fertilized by a chemical developed by Espotech and then born in a lab."

"Why would Espotech do that?"

"When Espotech became out of hand the President of the United States ordered them to stop all experiments. They didn't. At first they thought they had found an alternative way for human reproduction. They then discovered that they had found much more than that."

"I don't believe you."

"No? Then answer this, why do you think you were so superior to the other children. Why you could always run faster, jump higher was always the smartest kid in your class? How come you've never been sick or ever even been to a doctor? Espotech found out that the chemical enhances the embryo far beyond the physical and mental capabilities of a normal human. So they created a bunch of you which they used to win the war and take over the world."

"What about my mother? Did she work for Espotech too.?"

"I don't know the woman who supplied the embryo. I know that the woman that I told you was your mother and the story of her dying during childbirth was all a lie."

"So are you here to kill me?"

"No! I'm here to save you."

"Yeah right! You work for Espotech!"

"Not anymore. Five years ago when I left Espotech had informed me that you were advancing much faster than the other experiments so they were gonna activate you early."

"Activate?"

"Yeah, every experiment has two things implanted into their bodies once they are born. One is a bomb, hence the detonation part. The other is a mind control module which allows them to control you. It was set to activate on your 21st birthday."

"Oh so that's why you're here to activate me?"

"No I'm here to deactivate you. I've been a D.A.D since before the war started. You were my third assignment. Although I was supposed to endear myself to you somehow you endeared yourself to me. You became my daughter and I couldn't let you be activated. So when Espotech decided to activate you early I told them you were detonated. They gave me a new assignment and I left."

"So what happened?"

"What happened was Espotech discovered that I had lied. So a few days ago I detonated my assignment and came here for you."

"So what do we do now? My birthday is in two days?"

"We have to find the locket."

"The locket that you gave me the night you left? The big heart shaped one?"

"Yeah that's it!"

"Oh well that locket is long gone. I lost it in a fire fight in Philadelphia about a year ago."

"No it's not. That locket contains all of your data. All of your mental and physical capabilities. All of your development over the years. I deactivated it when I left. A few days ago someone turned it back on. Someone here with you."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that you've been betrayed. That locket is how Espotech discovered you were still alive. That locket is also the key."

"The key to what?"

"The key to your brain."

"What?"

" There's a small hole in your head behind your left earlobe. That's a key hole. Once I put the key in and turn it I'll have access to your module and I can turn it off."

"And the bomb?"

"I don't know where the bomb is in your body. Fortunately for you I'm the only person that can detonate it. See that birthmark on your leg is actually my fingerprint. If I press it you explode. That was to protect their secret at all cost."

"So how do we find out who has the locket?"

Just then Carl comes into the room.

"You won't have to." Carl pulls the locket out and dangles it in the air.

"When Espotech captured me long ago I thought I was dead for sure. That was until they found out I had the locket. Then once they told me who it belonged to and what it was for, I gladly accepted my assignment. At first they wanted me to activate you right away but then they saw your progress and said if I wait until you were 21 years old you'd be unstoppable. So now here we are!"

"Why Carl?"

"Well, Espotech promised me that once this war was over I would be awarded any kingdom I want to rule with you as my wife!"

"I'll never marry you traitor!"

Carl waves the locket again.

"Yeah well you won't have a choice my dear."

All of a sudden the room door burst open and Carl is shot by a taser-like weapon. He briefly comvulses before hitting the floor. Alicia's dad then grabs the locket and turns off Alicia's module.

Then three more men and two women enter the room with the rest R.A.E behind them.

"Oh I almost forgot I brought a few friends with me. This is Michael, Tony and Jack. They're D.A.D.S just like me. These are their assignments Tommy, Mikayla, and Star."

Tommy, Mikayla and Star all hold up their lockets! Star starts to speak.

"We have all been turned off and are here to take down Espotech and end this war with you as our leader!"

Alicia then raises her locket in the air.

"To the end of this war!"
