CyberSent

The Final Hope

By Oliver MillwardPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the shadows of a high-tech corporation, I naively stumbled upon a revelation that would change everything. Whilst attending to my cleaning duties, for which I have been employed, I overheard a chilling conversation between Dr Smithe, the project manager, and Sir Wilfred Starmer, the powerful tycoon who ruled this empire. Their words hinted at something monumental.

I eventually uncovered their sinister plan: an advanced AI designed to be implanted directly into the brains of the elites. This chip, a fusion of AI and cutting-edge gene editing would grant them near-omniscience and superhuman abilities. Imagine facing an opponent who knows your every move before you make it, who can outthink and outfight you effortlessly. This was the ultimate power grab, a way for the rich and powerful to cement their control generationally over a world already drowning in inequality.

The thought of a world where the majority couldn't escape the chains of a rigged system drove me to a decision that would change my life forever. I took the chip—not because I desired power or control, but because I knew they did.

Now, with my mind honed to a razor's edge and my body enhanced to superhuman levels, I am no longer a bystander to wrongdoing. I have been named CyberSent and proclaimed a guardian in the digital era; tales of my enhanced perception, superhuman intelligence, and unparalleled physical prowess are becoming legendary. The powerful may think they've triumphed, but they've only just begun to face their most formidable opponent. I'm here to demonstrate that no one is beyond being brought to justice.

Our shy hero will grapple with more than those hoping to retrieve their device but with existential dilemmas questioning his morality. His only disguise is a gas mask, kept inside his long jacket reserved for injustice.

Hi I have just completed a MSc in psychology and feel I want to write psychological novals that centre around existential dread. I read a lot of philosophy particularly the Greeks. Please recommended me some reads and have a read on mine.
