Liam slammed his fist down on the well-worn keyboard, sending the ALT key flying.

"Great," he muttered. Using the pinky finger of his non-dominant hand, he tried to wedge the pinky down into the gap created by the missing key. When he pressed CTRL and DEL simultaneously, a jolt of electricity shot through him.

The air crackled like a thousand bolts of lightning struck; his head filled with the sound of TV static. Liam looked around frantically. His room remained untouched though his entire body glowed yellow and white. He looked like a supervillain in one of his favorite comics after being zapped.

All of a sudden, Liam's back arched further than humanly normal for a video game junkie who rarely exercised, let alone stretched. His arms flew overhead, his fingers outstretched. He had the sensation of floating before his entire world went dark.

When Liam opened his eyes, he was in a dark room, filled with computer coding, falling down Matrix-style. He shook his head as if to clear the fog. He did a slow, 360-degree circle, taking in his surroundings.

Liam studied the code before him. His mind flashed back to the error he received, prompting his computer to want to restart. He reached out to touch the offensive code. His hand buzzed, pins and needles.

With the incorrect code removed, Liam's world flashed white and seconds later he was back in his computer chair, the game he'd been playing at the ready.

My game is glitching, came the text across the screen. Liam's body began to tingle again. After the air crackled, he found himself inside the computer of his opponent. After fixing the code, he was transported back to his desk in a flash of white.
