"Hello, Rachel."

"Hello, God."

"What can I do for you?"

"Well, I just wanted to apologise for some of my behaviour."

"I see. With what result?"

"Sorry?"

"What do you expect to get out of it?"

"I'm not sure. Acceptance, absolution, forgiveness?"

"I see. Well, I can tell you that all those are a given but if you want to confess, feel free. Although, it's a bit pointless as I know it all already. Omniscience and all that."

"Oh. Right. Well, I don't want to waste your time."

"Okay then. Shall we wrap it up then?"

"Sure. Er, bye?"

"Toodle-oo!"

100 words

I wrote this in response to a prompt from the site below:

Very useful for inspiration. The one that I used was "You come face to face with God. You think you should apologize for your transgressions but are surprised when God seems completely nonchalant."

I hope that I've captured that here in 100 words.

You are the Queen of getting a great point across in 100 words or less. Drabbling is a very difficult art form...one that I don't think I'll be able to ever master...those prompts look interesting, though. Loved the "tootles!"

I think you hit the nonchalant brief Rachel! The abruptness feels so out of place in this context, but makes this refreshing and unexpected.

Very mischievous and amusing. I love the sense of humour that frequents your writing. “Omniscience and all that!” Lol. 😆

Is there anything more English than toodle-oo!! I think God would just shake his head and leave if we met!

I'd like to say funny, amusing, but this is how I feel when I talk to God. So, in reality, it's too real.
