Will he be home tonight? I can’t really say for sure. It’s Christmas time, a time for warm cuddly moments in our home and by the fireplace. It’s just not our home is warming again. I try so hard to catch his attention with going to the hair salon, buying the latest couture, looking ethereal. Yet my husband, over ten years, is just as taciturn as he was on the day we married. A married of convenience for our families. Love was never in the picture; it was a business deal and I was the prize. Merry Christmas to me.

Trying to write a few 100 word stories for Christmas.

I feel so sad for her. I wish she could just run away. Loved your story!
