"Hello, I am police captain Sabrina Masters. As you know, this case is personal to me, but I have spent 19 years dealing with gripping cases like this, and I see no difference here. The victim is my husband, Richard Masters, who was found dead in the bedroom. The last person to see him alive was this woman, Joyce Randall, who suddenly disappeared without a trace. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Ms. Randall, please contact us."

Nearly any other police officer, in this situation, would be told to sit on the sidelines due to the immense personal connection. However, Sabrina Masters wasn't just any other police officer in the eyes of her department. She had been on the force for 19 years, and rose to the ranks of captain after her first nine years. Sabrina was also known for her strong resolve, but in the week that passed since her husband's sudden death, the case had been on her mind. The emotion was there when she made her announcement regarding both Richard and Joyce, and it remained as she drove late at night to a place that was familiar to her: the cabin where she and Richard spent their honeymoon together.

Sabrina's expression changed as she arrived at her destination as she regained her steely demeanor as she made her way to the cabin. Upon entering, Sabrina made a beeline to one of the rooms in the cabin, and once she opened the door, she uttered the following words:

"Hello, Joyce."

Inside the room was the aforementioned Joyce Randall, who was tied up and gagged. The same woman whose safety appeared to be a concern for Sabrina during her heartfelt plea, but in actuality, Joyce had been held captive in that very cabin, with Sabrina as Joyce's abductor.

"You know, you really should be grateful," smirked Sabrina. "After all, I made you look like a poor, innocent woman in distress. Even though you and I both know what you truly are: a cheap whore who slept with my husband!" As Sabrina made her venomous statement, she ripped the duct tape from Joyce's mouth, and gave a sadistic grin as Joyce screamed in pain.

"Please," said Joyce. "Just let me go."

"Oh, but I'm not done with you yet!" Sabrina exclaimed as she put on her leather gloves. "There's still one more thing we have to do." Sabrina untied Joyce's hands, but quickly took out her gun and pointed it at her, while using her free hand to take out a folded piece of paper.

"Suicide note, complete with a written confession to my husband's murder," said Sabrina.

"You killed Richard!" shouted Joyce. "I did no such thing!"

"True," replied Sabrina. "I did get a huge kick out of poisoning his glass of brandy, and watching as he had his life taken out of him, but you'll have to take credit for that, I'm afraid. Just another piece of happiness that you've taken from me." Sabrina ordered Joyce to walk out of the room, while continuing to hold her potential victim at gunpoint.

"You won't get away with this," said Joyce.

"Oh my God, really?" cackled Sabrina. "You're going to say that to me, a well respected police captain and a grieving widow? I have the entire department, the entire city, all under my thumb. Once I report your suicide, and the note is found, it'll all be wrapped up, and I won't have a cheating husband to split my pension with."

"Can I say something, please?" asked Joyce.

"I'm in a generous mood," replied Sabrina. "Go ahead. Say your last words."

"I'm truly sorry," said Joyce. "I honestly didn't know Richard was married; had I known, I would have never even talked to him. And I certainly had no idea, that he was married to such an insecure, jealous, psychotic bitch!" The emphasis of that last word infuriated Sabrina to the point where she attempted to pistol-whip Joyce, who fought back and decked her captor, allowing herself to make a run for it outside the cabin. However, Sabrina rose up and pursued Joyce, who managed to make it close to the road, while dodging Sabrina's gunshots. Joyce carefully began her attempt to cross what appeared to be an empty road, only for Sabrina--still filled with crazed fury--to actually tackle Joyce and hold her at gunpoint again, though both of them were suddenly stunned by a pair of bright lights.

Surprisingly, both women survived being struck by the oncoming vehicle, and as for Sabrina, she woke up and saw her colleagues surrounding her. Unfortunately for Sabrina, not only were their faces not friendly, she found herself handcuffed to her hospital bed. Despite Sabrina's shock over this development, she knew that she had been exposed, as she had been informed that Joyce, though badly injured, revealed everything.

"I am a decorated police captain," Sabrina stated with a mix of fury and dejection. "I'm supposed to see everything coming. Yet I was fooled by my husband and his other woman. They embarrassed me! I had no choice but to punish them both!"

It was a story that rocked the entire department. Sabrina Masters, the acclaimed police captain, murdered her husband, Richard Masters, and abducted Joyce Randall with plans to kill her as well. On trial, Sabrina attempted to have her confession thrown out, claiming that she was under duress and was on painkillers at the time, and even using her now-former status in the department as part of the attempt. Of course, the plan failed, and after Joyce's testimony, as well as the unveiled evidence of Sabrina's role in all of the crimes committed, Sabrina was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Sabrina spent years being revered for her police work, but with her actions and her conviction, she'll solely be known as a deranged villainess who thought she was above the law due to her status. As for Joyce, her injuries have healed, but even with Sabrina's conviction, her ordeal still remains in her memory.
