The giraffe was not breathing; its exanimate body was spread on the wet morning grass like butter on bread—what should I do? I'm trying to remember what one should do in this situation—when he sees a giraffe that allegedly is still alive but not breathing anymore. I look in the mirror. It shows a reflection of me and the breathless giraffe. The image is clear, not befogged by Gofri's breath. Gofri is the giraffe's name. It has a name, but the air does not enter its chest. If one performs chest compressions on a person, it's normal if ribs get broken. For an adult human, the compressions should go as deep as 5–6 centimeters. But what about an adult giraffe? How hard one should press? at which frequency? I don't know. And how am I supposed to do mouth-to-mouth artificial ventilation? So many questions I've got. Thinking of it though means losing precious time. Dear Gofri, I wish you could talk to me, teach me how to save your life.
I think I should just call an ambulance. If you survive, Gofri, I promise I'll give you a new name, a more poetic one.

This was bizarre in so many ways. Yet should be in humor, it is funny and sad at the same time.
That's hilarious and brings so many charmingly odd and strange questions into the reader's mind. It's hard not to overthink a world so full of absurdities. Great little piece of work.
Now I wonder how the giraffe gets into the ambulance. Or is there an ambulance as long as a giraffe? 🙄🦒🚑
Andrei, I love the image you chose as the title page it add a sort of dark humour to start this piece. I found this story funny in a tragic sort of way, poor Gofri. It felt relatable as I know I would have been having all the same thoughts as our narrator. Especially with all the technical questions they asked themselves about compressions and breaths on a giraffe! 😂

I actually teach CPR every so often at work, so I know how hard it can be to continue on until the ambulance arrives... add to that the long neck of the giraffe... I think I would pass out while running beck and forth between its head and chest (while lightheaded trying to push air down that long neck) hahaha. Quite a random story, I'll be honest hahaha but it was fun to read for sure.
