Broken Face Inception

She doesn't believe in superstitions but her family does. She says its just another false fear created by people. She broke the bathroom mirror a couple of days ago and her family is teasing her about having seven years of bad luck. She doesn't them any mind about that. "Days have passed and still no bad luck." She says to her family at dinner. They still tease her though.

One day while going for a walk she passes this store with a window that she can see her reflection in. She stops and looks at herself, but something is definitely odd about what she's seeing. She walks slowly to her reflection in disbelief. Then she puts her hands on the glass. Suddenly the window shatters. She jumps back and starts looking around for someone that may have saw what happened. There was no one. Not anyone in the store either.

She runs away shaken up from what just happened. She runs into a park and starts to slow down her pace because she's far enough away from the store. Again, she's looking around for people but still there is no one in sight. She feels that its weird that nobody is in the park on such a beautiful day at that time. So continued walking through the park calming herself down. She sees a bench in front of a lake and decided to take a seat. Upon approaching the bench she hears what sounds like a animal in destress at the lake. So she goes to see what's going on. She gets to the lake and sees a duck tangled in a plastic bag. She helps free the duck and puts it back in the lake. She watches it as it swims away but something else caught her eyes in the water.

She looks closer at the water and sees her reflection in the water and again its odd. She touches her face and it doesn't feel like what her reflection looks like. Then the water starts to make strong ripples but there's nothing to make the ripple that strong. Not even wind is blowing. She backs up so confused as to why this is happening to her and decides to go home.

As she gets to the end of the park and she sees a couple walking in her direction. As they get closer she notices that they are looking at her in disgust. In her confusion as to why they're looking at her like that, she continues on her way home. Things are getting more weirder and she doesn't understand why. Now she's starting to see more people and the streets are getting busier.

As she's trying to hurry home she notices more people are giving her a look of disgust. What is it? What did I do to deserve this? She is thinking this as she tries to get through people as the streets gets more crowded with people. She bumps into a guy and he is horrified at the site of her. She grabs him asked, "What is it that you see?!". He shoves her off and she falls to the ground. Now more people are looking and surrounding her as she sits on the ground nearly in tears. No one is helping her. They are just staring in disgust and yelling at her.

Now she's yelling at the people, "What is it?! What did I do?!". Still no one is saying anything. They are just staring in disgust and yelling at her. Now she's on her feet and pushing through the crowd to get home. Her anxiety are starting to attack her and her chest is getting tight. It's getting harder to breath as the crowd seems to be getting thicker. The people keep looking at her in disgust. She feels like she won't make it through. Then right before she's just about give up and fall out, a hand reaches out and grabs her through the crowd.

She wakes up in a cold sweat and tears in her eyes and her brother is shaking her. He asked, "Are you alright?". He told her that she was screaming crying and woke everyone up. It was all just a bad dream. She thought as she set up in her bed. She told her brother that she is alright and he left the room. The sun shining through her window as she's glad it was all a dream. She gets up goes to the bathroom and cleans herself up and gets ready for the day. Then she looks in the mirror and everything is normal. She has a sigh of relief. She has breakfast with her family and they still tease her about the bad luck. She still doesn't pay it attention. Then she leave out the house to go for a walk. On her walk she passes by a store with the window that she sees her reflection in. Then she the odd reflection. She touches the window and then the window shatters.
