Brewing Adventure

Short Story

By W.E. CervantezPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Ana had always loved beer. She loved the way the hops and malt combined to create unique flavors and aromas. She loved the way it brought people together, regardless of their background. And she loved the way it reflected the beauty and diversity of the world around her.

But Ana had never traveled outside of Colorado before. She had always dreamed of exploring new places and trying new beers, but she never had the chance.

One day, Ana decided that enough was enough. She was tired of feeling stuck in her small town, and she was ready for an adventure. She packed her bags and set off on a road trip across Colorado, eager to explore the state's many breweries and taste its many beers.

Her first stop was a brewery in Denver. She walked into the tasting room and was immediately struck by the sight of people from all walks of life enjoying the beer. There were young people and old people, men and women, and people of every race and ethnicity.

Ana sat down at the bar and ordered a flight of different beers to sample. As she sipped on each one, she savored the unique flavors and aromas. She talked to the bartender and the other patrons, learning about the brewing process and the different types of beer.

Feeling inspired, Ana continued her journey to other breweries across Colorado. She visited small towns and big cities, tasting local beers and meeting other beer enthusiasts along the way.

During her travels, Ana encountered many people who were surprised to see a Chicana woman exploring the world of beer. Some were even skeptical of her knowledge and passion for the drink. But Ana was undeterred. She knew that beer was a universal language that could bring people together, regardless of their background.

As she continued her journey, Ana found herself drawn to the beauty of Colorado's landscape. She hiked through the Rocky Mountains, marveling at the towering peaks and crystal-clear streams. And everywhere she went, she discovered new breweries and new beers to try.

But as much as Ana loved traveling and exploring new places, she also felt a deep sense of homesickness. She missed her family and her friends, and she longed to return to her small town in Colorado.

One day, as she was hiking through the mountains, Ana met an older man who was also a beer enthusiast. They struck up a conversation and began talking about their love for beer and their travels across Colorado.

As they talked, the man began to share stories about his own travels around the world. He told Ana about the places he had been, the people he had met, and the beers he had tasted.

Ana listened intently, feeling a sense of awe and wonder. She realized that there was a whole world out there waiting to be explored, and that beer was just one of the many ways to experience it.

When the man finished his story, Ana thanked him and said goodbye. As she continued her hike, she thought about everything she had seen and experienced on her journey.

She realized that even though she loved beer, it wasn't the only thing that mattered to her. What mattered most was the people she met, the places she saw, and the memories she made.

And so, with a sense of gratitude and wonder, Ana returned to her small town in Colorado. She hugged her family and friends, feeling grateful for their love and support.

And as she settled back into her daily routine, Ana knew that she would never forget the amazing journey she had taken, and the lessons she had learned along the way.
