Code is everywhere. The camouflage covered garment bag lay on the chair at the airport. She was going to check it, but chose to use it as a carry-on. Then, she didn’t have it.

“Goddamn it,” Private First Class Belima Knowers said to herself aloud. “I forgot my damn bag.”

She got up from her seat and jostled her way into the aisle. She confronted a flight attendant.

“Ma’am we’re about to depart.”

“I understand that, but I forgot my body—a garment bag.”

“I’m sure there will be someone who will retrieve it if—”

“You don’t understand. I need it.”
