Beyond the Portal

The Dark Portal Awakens

By Arsham AfzalPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Years went by, and the town had finally begun to heal from the wounds that David had inflicted upon it. The memory of the dark portal and the creatures from the dark world had faded away, becoming nothing more than a distant legend.

However, there was one person who had not forgotten about the portal. His name was Adam, and he was a young man who had grown up in the town. Adam had always been fascinated by stories of the supernatural, and he had spent many hours studying ancient texts and legends.

One day, Adam discovered an old book in the town's library. The book was filled with tales of magic and sorcery, and it piqued his curiosity. As he read through the book, he stumbled upon a passage that described a portal to the dark world.

Adam's heart raced as he read the passage. Could it be true? Was there really a way to communicate with the creatures from the dark world?

Determined to find out, Adam began to search for the portal. He combed through the town's records and archives, looking for any mention of the dark portal. Finally, he found a reference to it in an old journal that had been written by one of David's victims.

The journal described the portal as a small, unassuming door that was hidden in the basement of David's house. Adam knew that he had to see it for himself.

He went to David's house, which had been abandoned since his arrest, and made his way to the basement. It was dark and musty, with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. But Adam didn't care. He was focused on finding the portal.

After searching for what felt like hours, Adam finally found the door. It was small and unassuming, just as the journal had described. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should go through with it. But then he remembered his curiosity and decided to take the plunge.

He opened the door and stepped through. The air around him grew colder, and he felt a chill run down his spine. He was in the dark world.

At first, Adam was terrified. He had never seen anything like it before. The creatures were twisted and deformed, with glowing eyes and razor-sharp teeth. But as he walked deeper into the dark world, he began to feel more and more at home.

He started to communicate with the creatures, just as David had done years before. At first, he only asked them questions, trying to learn more about their world. But soon, he began to use them for his own purposes.

Unlike David, Adam was careful with his power. He didn't want to make the same mistakes that David had made. He used the portal to get what he wanted, but he never killed anyone. Instead, he used the creatures to scare his enemies, to make them think twice before crossing him.

However, as time went on, Adam began to feel the same pull that David had felt. The creatures from the dark world were alluring, with their promises of power and control. Adam started to use the portal more and more, becoming addicted to the feeling of power that it gave him.

He became reckless, summoning the creatures at all hours of the day and night. He didn't care who saw him or what they thought. He was in control.

But just like David, Adam's recklessness eventually caught up with him. One day, while he was summoning a creature from the dark world, he heard a knock at the door. He froze, just as David had done all those years ago.

It was the police.

Adam was arrested and charged with using dark magic to harm others. He was sentenced to life in prison, just like David had been.
