Throughout his years as a detective, Mark Williams had witnessed everything. But he knew he was in for a crazy trip when he received the call to look into a string of seemingly random deaths occurring throughout the city.

Mark couldn’t help but feel a sensation of dread sweep over him as he entered the scene of the most recent victim’s crime. Young woman who was the victim had been severely assaulted and dumped in an alleyway.

Mark looked around the area and couldn’t help but sense that something wasn’t quite right. Detective Sarah Johnson, his colleague, came to him and remarked, “This one just doesn’t feel right, in my opinion. It’s far too tidy. Too skillfully done.

Sarah agreed by nodding. “And the victimisation pattern appears to be entirely arbitrary. None of them are related to one another.”

The two detectives were still conducting their investigation when they got a call from a witness who claimed to know something about the murderer. The witness, a lady named Maria, who appeared tense and fidgety as she spoke, was rushed to be met by Mark and Sarah.

“I noticed him. the murderer. He had a scar on his face and numerous tattoos. He appeared to be a true monster “Maria spoke while trembling.

Mark pushed for further details. “You saw where he went, right? Please provide us with further information.”

Yet, Maria abruptly froze and scanned her surroundings anxiously. “I’m at a loss for words. You lack comprehension. He’ll hunt me down. I must leave.”

Mark and Sarah exchanged looks as Maria sprinted away. They had the uneasy impression that Maria was concealing something throughout the entire interaction.

Mark received a call from Maria as he was working late that night at the precinct. “Officer Williams, I need your assistance. I am aware of the murderer. Come meet me at the 5th Street vacant warehouse.”

Mark hurried to the warehouse while his heart raced. When he got there, he noticed Maria outside, looking more anxious than ever. “Maria, what’s going on? Who is the assassin?”

Maria was about to respond when a person came from the darkness. That was the murderer, just as Maria had described him — tattooed, scarred, and covered in tattoos.

Mark pulled his gun, but the assassin moved too quickly. He took the gun out of Mark’s hands and started a vicious hand-to-hand struggle with him. Mark came to a startling realisation while the two guys struggled.

His own brother was the murderer.

“What the hell are you doing, Nick? What’s the purpose of this?” While he struggled for his life, Mark yelled.

Nick merely giggled. “Mark, you were always the kind guy. one that was adored by all. But I’m not. You always had a shadow over me. To demonstrate that I was equally as good as you, I had to take action.”

Mark was hearing things that he couldn’t believe. The murderer he had been pursuing all along was his own brother. Mark became aware that he needed to intervene to stop Nick before it was too late as the battle went on.

Mark defeated his brother with a final outburst of strength, rendering him comatose. Mark couldn’t help but feel sorry and guilty when the cops showed there to arrest Nick. He created a monster out of his own sibling out of anxieties.

Mark left the scene knowing that the lessons he had learnt would be with him forever. because occasionally the people you trust the most might end up hurting you the most. However, the distinction between good and evil is seldom as sharp as it first appears.
