Benny in the meadow

Help from above

By Szabina SzikszaiPublished 3 years ago 2 min read

Once upon a time, there was a small brown bat named Benny who could talk. Benny was unlike any other bat, as he had the ability to speak with the animals and humans he encountered.

At first, Benny was quite confused and frightened by his newfound ability. He had always been a solitary creature, spending most of his days sleeping upside down in a cave with his fellow bats. But now, he found himself able to communicate with the world in a way he had never imagined. He already made some new friends with his ability: Lila, the little mouse, Sly the snake and the Birds from the forest. He already learned a lot from different animals, but he knew is a lot more there for him to explore. So he kept flying out from his cave to the forest and nearby places, looking for new adventures.

One day, Benny was flying over a meadow when he saw a group of animals gathered around a tree. Curious, he flew closer to investigate. As he got closer, he heard the animals talking about a problem they were having with a group of foxes. The foxes had been stealing their food and causing chaos in the meadow.

Without hesitation, Benny swooped down and landed on a branch near the animals. "Hello, my friends," he said, surprising the animals with his ability to talk. "I couldn't help but overhear your problem with the foxes. I may be able to help."

The animals looked at Benny skeptically. They had never seen a talking bat before, and they weren't sure if they could trust him. But Benny was determined to prove himself. He flew off to the nearby forest, where he knew the foxes lived.

When he arrived, he saw the foxes lounging around and playing with each other. He cleared his throat and spoke up. "Excuse me, may I have a word with you?" The foxes looked at Benny in surprise, but he continued. "I have a proposition for you. If you stop stealing from the animals in the meadow, I can help you find a new food source."

The foxes were skeptical at first, but Benny was persuasive. He explained that the meadow animals were planning to fight back against the foxes, and that it would be better for everyone if they could find a peaceful solution. Eventually, the foxes agreed to Benny's proposal.

Benny worked tirelessly to find a new food source for the foxes. He scoured the forest and the nearby fields, searching for something the foxes would like. Finally, he discovered a patch of wild berries that the foxes loved. He showed them the patch, and they were thrilled.

Thanks to Benny's hard work and dedication, the animals in the meadow no longer had to worry about the foxes stealing their food. The meadow was peaceful again, and Benny had made many new friends among the animals.

From that day forward, Benny became known as the talking bat who had saved the meadow. He continued to use his unique ability to communicate with animals and humans alike, making the world a better place for everyone he met. And though he never forgot his solitary roots, he knew that he had found a new purpose in life: to use his gift of speech to help others.
