AT-AT unit 2222
Not so long ago on a street not too far away....

The crew of AT-AT unit 2222 had overslept when the order was given to make the attack on the ice planet Hoth, and they came by a mere printout of them.
The two operators (Laurel & Hardy) stare down at the paper, the word Hoth had smudged, because the printer was older than the Emperor.
"What's the name of the planet?" Laurel asked.
"Hoth?" Hardy replied.
"That ice planet? Unlikely."
"I'm pretty sure the last two letters are "th" and it has five letters to it," Hardy commented, "the first letter could be an "E"."
"The only planet that makes sense is Earth."
"Earth? That backwater planet? Neither the Empire nor the Rebellion has any interest in it!"
"Yes, but here are our orders."
"Fine," Laurel located the coordinates to the backwater planet, and soon, as the AT-AT began to land on a random spot on Earth, its giant legs (which had been folded up) dug into the snow that had lay on the ground and began to walk down the street, towering 10 stories up from the ground.
"Are you sure we're in the right place?" Hardy asked.
"Why?"
"Well, I don't see any other walkers for one!"
"Well, that's not my fault!" Laurel inadvertently hit the Auto-fire button, and now the lone walker began to fire as it walked down Main street, and panic ensued both on the ship and in the streets.

Nice sci-fi edge.
Why am I smiling so hard right now?
This is really unique, I haven't seen any science fiction additions to the snow microfiction challenge yet. I love how the type of relationship between your characters is so strongly communicated in such a short piece.
