He cracked his knuckles. He sat at a typewriter. The clacking became something like fists hitting a punching bag. He felt the rush of words gush out of him like blood from a wound.

His whole idea was to keep writing until his fingers ached and grew black and blue. Then, he finished with sweat on his brow and his Afro soaked with sweat.

He wrote in his basement and he revised, edited, and rewrote. With every ounce of power he could muster up, he threw himself into this work. He finished typing. He just addressed it to himself only.
