✨A microstory for the soul✨
Silent, still; at completely full draw--I find her tucked in the brambles.
Wild, bushy-tailed; aglow with ineptness--she grazes the lush, green grass.
I focus--using my dominant eye. The weight of the bow on my finger--like wind.
(And that's when I sense you--my eye catches yours.)
"Hello, dear friend," I whisper--though I wonder...are we truly friends?
(Alas, our kismets connect here.)
Here--among the sighs of the trees--where sunlight dances between spaces of secret, untrodden pathways...we're two predatory queens; one prey.
And,
as you drag her into your labyrinth--here--among the sighs of the trees...my stomach stays empty, though...
