All's Fair is an Awful Show
Is Ryan Murphy running out of ideas?

I think this is perhaps one of the worst shows ever made. Or perhaps the worst show ever made. I wonder if Ryan Murphy is really running out of ideas. Ever since he started his stupid true crime TV show franchise, I feel that he has gone off the deep end.
And now he finally does a fictional story, only for it to completely bomb. Even though I haven't seen a single episode to his new show, All's Fair, I immediately knew this show wasn't going to do well.
And one of those reasons is because the producers and writers chose to cast the wrong lead for the main role. Why on earth would they cast Kim Kardashian, a woman who is not even an actress? From every clip I have seen, I have been confused on what type of emotion she is trying to go for in her scenes.
It's odd acting, and I don't understand why they didn't choose any other actress to play her role instead. The rest of the cast is completely stacked, but even they appeared to struggle with the roles that were given to them.
From my understanding of what the show is about, the writers were trying to go for a show about women who are lawyers, showing off their power above men.
But the execution is terrible.

The dialogue is freaking terrible, the acting is kind of goofy when it comes to the dialogue, and the characters aren't exactly the kind of people to root for. For example, I didn't understand why some of the main characters decided to not allow one specific woman to join their ranks before they started their own lawyer firm.
She is played by Sarah Paulson in the show, and I sort of felt bad for her character, and I thought it was so weird how she was completely shut out by these women. Isn't that being totally hypocritical? Aren't these women going against their own message of wanting to help each other out?
Glenn Close's character helps Sarah Paulson's character to start her own firm years later, and she does take on that advice. But I didn't get why she still held such a strong resentment toward these women. It was kind of weird, because if she was all on her own with her success, doesn't that mean she won, knowing that she never needed a whole team to get ahead in life?
I don't even think the writers to this show understand what they were even going for. They failed to make any of these characters mildly interesting, (except for Sarah Paulson, who can make almost any role work in her favor), and they were all kind of assholes in their own ways. I failed to feel bad for the majority of them, since they are all rich people...with nonexistent problems.
And before I sign off here...I need to talk about one more scene that made no sense. There is one scene where the lawyer team is talking with one of their clients, who decides to throw herself off the balcony. I felt like this scene came off comedic instead of serious. The reactions of the women felt way too off, and the scene cutting from this scene to the women all on their own private jet was so dumb.
In my opinion, I think the idea of one of their clients going off the deep end, and leading to the slow downfall of the firm, as the women struggle to save it, would have been a great idea. I think the message of strong women could have played extremely well here with an idea like this, and it would have made a lot of sense with the drama that begins to unfold around them.
But instead, we got a show with terrible writing.
Really bad writing.
