The character of this rumor claimed to have it all—a solid job, a loyal wife, caring kids, and a large home. But as he grew older, his life was destroyed by the effects of his past.

In 1950, Alex and Margaret Cooper first spoke. They were married two years after they first met. There were no significant problems or arguments; their relationship was happy. The couple was focused on raising their five children and needed more stamina. Their kids got older over time, and Alex and Margaret were grandparents before long.

Almost her whole life, Margaret has been a housewife. Alex spent most of his life working as a sales representative and frequently traveled across the nation. Fishing, camping, and guitar playing were among his rather typical manly interests. Everyone described him as cheerful and friendly, and nobody ever saw anything odd about him.

As was his habit, Alex left on another business trip on April 3, 1987. Laila, his youngest daughter, and her husband went shopping in a neighboring town the following morning. During the journey, they observed Alex's vehicle parked next to the bridge on the side of the road. Liela made the choice to greet her father. After slowing down and turning around, her husband led the way as they approached Alex's car.

The automobile door was shut. Liela mistakenly believed her father was fishing below the bridge. Alex, though, was completely absent. Leila called her mother since she was a little concerned. After Alex left on a business trip, Margaret informed her daughter that she had been waiting to hear from him for more than a day. The woman didn't become concerned because she assumed that he simply had a lot of things to do. There is cause for concern now that her husband's abandoned car has been located.

Margaret contacted every local hospital. But none of them accepted her spouse, who is 65 years old. The woman then reported herself missing to the police; at the location where they discovered Alex's automobile, the police showed up. Neither inside nor around the car were indications of a struggle or unusual found during the inspection. Who discovered a change of clothes and Alex's fishing equipment inside the vehicle but saw no sign of Alex.

The investigation for the man involved dogs and a helicopter. However, it was still unsuccessful. One of the theories was that Alex suffered a heart attack while fishing and drowned after falling into the water. However, the divers were unable to locate any proof of this. Therefore this story vanished into obscurity. The second version was created after the police discovered that Alex had breakfast the morning of the day he went to a nearby cafe, just a few miles from where his car was found.

Margaret claimed that her husband had the odd habit of always having a lot of cash on him. Also, Alex did not keep his money in his wallet but twisted it and covered it with an elastic band. As a result, whenever he needed to make a purchase, he had to take all of his money out of his pocket. It was suspected that someone saw the man had a sizable amount of cash about him when he paid for breakfast in the morning. Since Alex was a kind and helpful person, he could not refuse this person's request for a ride. On the journey, a stranger robbed and murdered Alex, then hid his body.

The most reasonable reason was this one, although it was also taken into account that Alex might just desire to disappear and begin a new life. But it appeared to be completely impossible. He had no financial difficulties, his children were already adults, and he should have started getting a salary by that point in order to convince him not to work and live for himself. He was already 65 years old, after all. At that age, who and most importantly for what will begin a new life?

The preceding months saw no improvement in the hunt for Alex, and the story that involved his passing quickly took center stage. Sometimes others would call his family and say that a man, very likely Alex, had been voting on the track the day he disappeared. And therefore, there was reason to believe the man was still alive. But as time went on, Alex's family had to accept the fact that he was no longer living.

Margaret went to court in 1989, two years after her husband disappeared, to formally declare him dead. The finding of the missing person's birth, however, was expected considering this. Margaret asked the state authorities for legal aid after failing to discover him within her home. I was shocked to learn from the response that no one with the name Alex Cooper had been located on the day or year of her husband's birth.

Then, under pressure, she discovers additional detentions or records regarding the missing husband. Even more surprising was the fact that her husband's documents weren't made public until 1950—the year of their wedding. Margaret needed help understanding. She was brought out after that to guess who the man was; at the time, she had already reached the age of 35 and was married to animals.

On May 27, 1991, a guy in Toronto, 3,500 kilometers from Alex Cooper's distribution center, applied for David Cooper's distribution. A picture of the investigator holding a child was discovered by the police when they investigated the missing person's room. The individual in the picture had an uncanny resemblance to Alex Cooper. Margaret was astonished when the police found Margaret's husband's wife's photo. Four years ago, her husband did vanish. Margaret's husband is shown in the 1985 photograph cradling their newborn grandson. Everyone can now see that David Cooper is the same person as Alex Cooper, who vanished four years ago. No matter what name he went by, the issue was that no one knew for sure where he was or who he was fleeing from at the time.

The man returned to his Toronto flat two days after authorities discovered that David and Alex Cooper were one and the same. He called his landlady when he noticed evidence of police activity at his house. She informed him that he was listed as a missing person and that the police were eager to speak with him. He was merely on an extended business trip and had no intention of going missing again. But for some reason, his friend reported a missing individual. The police returned to Alex's flat the following day, but the man had disappeared again. It was quite odd. Why did he leave his family four years ago? What did he attempt to hide?

Journalists were interested in Alex's narrative. A television episode on him from the cycle of unsolved mysteries was broadcast in September 1991. In the USA, a lot of people watch this show. It told stories of individuals who the police had long sought after for various reasons. And quite frequently, regular people were shocked to recognize their friends or even neighbors as the heroes of this program. This makes it simpler for law enforcement to track down criminals. That is also what took place this time.

One man called reporters after the show was on the air and claimed to have recognized Alex Cooper. The individual claimed that Alex resided in Hamilton, which is 70 kilometers from Toronto. The police received this information, and on January 10, 1992, they could still catch Alex Cooper. Now, the cops and Alex's family may find answers to their many inquiries.

He confessed that neither Alex nor David Cooper is his real name. He claimed that Albin Arsene Arsenault was his real name. He clarified that he had worked for a Canadian bank in 1948. He was charged with robbing one of the bank's offices while at work. Though he didn't, he vanished at that point since he wouldn't pay for something he didn't do.

He married Margaret 4 years later, already going by the name Alex Cooper, and kept his background a mystery for the entire 35 years of their union. When he was 65 years old, his history still caught up with him. He should have begun receiving a pension at this age, but he could not do so since he needed a birth certificate. He was aware that his family or the government would eventually want to know why he did not receive a pension. Then it will become clear that he is indeed Albin Arsenault and not Alex Cooper. Albin, regrettably, was unaware that the allegations against him, in that case, had long since been dismissed, clearing him thoroughly in front of the law. He was terrified of being caught for the crime that had been laid against him in 1948.

Albin visited his family for the first time in five years, two days after the police discovered him in Hamilton. His family found it very difficult to understand his behavior, but they were happy he was still alive. As a result, he was ultimately received with open arms upon his return. Margaret passed away in 1996 after living with Albin for an additional five years. Albin himself passed away in 2007 at the age of 85.
