You “came to” in the midst of a deep, gloomy forest filled with twisted, gnarled trees. The leaves rustled eerily in the wind, and the branches seemed to reach out like bony fingers, pointing at you, as if you were to blame for being there.

The air was heavy and damp, and a thick fog rolled through the trees, making it hard to see more than a few feet in front of you. It was so quiet that you could hear your own heartbeat echoing in your ears “thump-thump”. “How did I get here?”, you ask yourself.

Every step was a struggle as the ground was soft and spongy underfoot, and it felt like the earth was trying to swallow you whole “thump-thump”. You could feel the eyes of unseen creatures watching you from the shadows, and you knew that you were not alone “thump-thump”.

It felt like a place of danger and mystery, where even the bravest of souls feared to tread. It was a place where you could easily become lost and never be found, a place where you might never see the light of day again. It was a place of darkness and despair, a place that was best avoided.

But here you were, lost in the middle of it all. Trying to remember how you got here. The memories of your life before this moment were hazy and indistinct.

You were filled with a sense of panic and despair as you stumbled through the trees, trying to find your way out of the gloomy forest. You had no idea which direction to go, and you were beginning to lose hope of ever being rescued.

As you walked, you heard the sound of footsteps behind you, and you spun around, hoping to see a friendly face. But there was nothing there, just the empty darkness that seemed to go on forever.

You knew that you were in great danger, and you were terrified of what might happen to you if you didn’t find a way out. But despite your fear, you kept moving forward, hoping against hope that you would find a way out.

That's when you saw something that gave you hope. In the distance, you saw a giant oak tree that seemed to be glowing with an inner light. The tree was tall and strong, with deep roots that seemed to reach all the way down to the heart of the earth. The leaves shone like emeralds, and the tree seemed to radiate warmth and comfort.

As you started down the long path towards the tree, you felt a strange connection to it. It was as if the tree was an old friend that you had unexpectedly stumbled upon in a strange place.

As you tried to walk towards the oak tree, you realized that no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t seem to get any closer to it. It was as if the tree was always just out of reach, a classic case of the carrot and the mule.

You became frustrated and confused, wondering why the tree seemed to be moving further away from you the more you tried to reach it. You began to doubt your own ability to find your way out of this awful forest, and you felt a sense of despair wash over you.

But just when you were about to give up hope, you heard a gentle voice in your ear. It was the voice of the oak tree, and it was telling you to keep going. “Don’t give up, dear one,” the tree whispered. “I am here to guide you out of the darkness and into the light.”

Just after the oak tree’s voice faded into the foggy abyss, you began to hear a faint whirring noise that seemed to oscillate in the distance. At first, you weren’t sure if you were imagining it, but as the noise grew louder, you knew that it was real.

You stopped in your tracks, trying to determine where the noise was coming from. It seemed to be all around you, echoing off the trees and filling the air with a strange, mechanical hum.

You felt a sense of unease rush over you as you realized that you had no idea what was causing the noise. It didn’t sound like anything you had ever heard before, and you couldn’t imagine what kind of creature or machine could make such a strange and otherworldly sound.

You stood there for a moment, listening to the noise and trying to decide what to do. Should you try to find the source of the noise and see if it posed a threat? Or should you turn and run in the opposite direction, hoping to escape whatever was making the noise? You knew that you had to make a decision quickly, before it was too late.

IT already was too late though, as the oscillating noise increased in intensity, you could hear the sounds of trees falling and cracking all around you. Overhead, entire trees flew around you. Suddenly, you looked down to find yourself right in front of the Oaktree. it screamed in agony, you watched in horror as it slowly began to fall over. It seemed as if the tree was falling in slow motion, and you knew that there was nothing you could do to stop it. You were rooted to the spot, unable to move as the tree crashed towards you.

You closed your eyes, bracing yourself for the impact. You could feel the wind rushing past you as the tree fell, and you knew that it was going to land on top of you.

But just as the tree was about to hit you, you felt a sudden jolt and everything went black. When you opened your eyes again, you were back in your own bedroom, safe and sound.

You got out of bed and made your way to the window, peering out at the landscapers as they worked. You watched them for a moment, grateful for the familiar sight of the normal.. What the F*%$ was that dream about?
