A Trip to Remember - Chapter 1
Let me know what you guys think and if I should start writing Chapter 2
Time flew by swiftly and before they knew it, they were walking on the stage to receive their get-out-of-jail-free card. Tears were shed, hugs were shared, but most importantly during their time together, memories were made, long-term friendships were created, and a new line of hardworking adults was born. They all had one thing in common they couldn’t wait for their senior trip. As the ceremony commenced the principal said his final words; hats flew into the sky. The only noise that could be heard was the shouting and cheers of the seniors on the field.
As they were released a girl was walking with her friend, but she ended up bumping into someone causing her to fall. She closed her eyes and got ready for impact, but it never came. She then opened her eyes; to her surprise he caught her in his arm, looking at her. As she looks up they make eye contact and it's as if they’d drifted into their own world. As if they were the only ones there until she hears her best friend asking her if she was okay, “Y-Yea I’m fine no need to worry Eli” she said with a smile. As she stood up looking at the male from before, “I’m so sorry, are you okay?” she asked waiting for a response, "Uh, yeah, I'm fine," the guy said, a hint of a smile on his face. "No harm done. Are you okay?" The girl nodded, still a little flustered from the unexpected encounter. "Yes, thank you for catching me," she said, a small smile forming on her lips.
"Of course," he replied, holding out a hand to help her up. "I'm glad I could be there to help, I’m Christian by the way". As they stood up, the girl couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest, “U-Uh I’m Maya, nice to meet you”. She didn't know who this guy was, but there was something about him that made her feel like she’d met him before like it was deja-vu. “Chris stop flirting and come on we have to leave so we can finish packing!”, his best friend said to him, trying to hurry so they wouldn’t be late for something for the first time in their lives. Maya blushed at his comment,” I-I think you should get going, don’t want to keep your friend waiting do you?” she said with a smile on her face, “Yea, see you around Maya, here’s my number text me”.
He said while shooting her a smile, turning around to yell at his friend chasing him until his voice started to mix into the crowd of agents. Maya couldn’t help but smile and think about the boy, she was love-struck, and she’d just met him a total of four minutes ago. “Oh come on he wasn’t even that cute, stop fantasizing, and come on so we can go to my place and finish packing”, said Eliina in an annoyed tone dragging her by her arm. “I can walk you know,” she said, but Eliina ignored her.

Maya couldn't help but think about Christian as they continued packing for their senior trip. She kept replaying the moment of their encounter and couldn't believe how quickly she had developed a crush on him. She decided to text him and thank him again for catching her. As they started texting, she discovered they had a lot in common and couldn't wait to get to know him better on their trip. Maybe she’d actually date somebody for once, you never know.
Eliina walked out of the bathroom from grabbing her makeup bag to put in her tote bag. As she walked into her room Maya could be seen smiling at her phone. Eliina could tell she was texting someone. "Who are you texting?" Eliina asked with a smirk on her face. "Just a guy I met earlier," Maya replied, still smiling. "Oh really?" Eliina teased. "Tell me more." Maya blushed and told her about Christian. Eliina was happy for Maya and excited about their senior trip, which was sure to be full of surprises, especially for the two newfound sweethearts.
