I flew up to heaven today because I had been told it was God’s home. I looked around and saw some children playing hide and seek.
One little boy came up to me and said, “You are the seeker.”
I thought,
One touch and four simple words are taking me to the other side, revealing my desire. Could it be real?
One touch and four simple words, this feeling of solitude is detaching me from everything and reconnecting to self. Could it be real?
"You are the seeker," the young boy's voice echoed in my ears.
I had played that game many times before, but today, those four words made my soul move.
Anyway, here I was, standing in the middle of the park. Tears were flowing down my cheeks. For the first time, I felt I was everything but empty. My heart had neither sadness nor complaint. My life felt beautiful and complete.
“Two reasons that make my tears roll down, either I have lost someone, or I have found myself again.”
After some time, I came back home. I said my prayers before going to bed like every night.
When God showed up in my dreams, I asked him, “I had paid a visit to heaven today because I wanted you to grant me something, but you were not there. Even though I could not ask for what I had in my mind, I feel like I have got what I wanted. I don’t understand how it is possible.”
God answered in the calmest voice I have ever heard, “I know. I was there.”
“Where? How come I didn’t see you?”
“When I touched you, I felt your heart. I knew what you wanted. I knew what you needed. That’s why I said you are the seeker.” God said.
“That child was you?” I asked with widened eyes.
“Those were the words of your inner voice,” God said. “You had never listened to it, so you couldn’t know about it. When I spoke to you today, you realized it had always been there. That realization is heaven. Every soul of this universe has a piece of this heaven, but a few people can feel it.”
“Do all the pieces of this heaven have the same colors I saw in your heaven?”
“That’s the beauty of the imagination and heaven of inner peace,” God replied. “Each one has its own kind, yet it feels the same because it is a part of the same place.”
“Have I really been to heaven today?” I asked curiously.
God laughed and said, “If your heart feels you have seen it, then it must be true that you have been to heaven. It is one’s mind that plays tricks. The heart never lies.”
“Why did you choose to appear as a child?” I asked.
“Only children know how to play a game with enthusiasm, especially when it is the game of seeking answers to questions that are meant to be answered. Also, your inner child had brought you to heaven, so it made more sense.”
I said, “I thought you did so because you think of all of us as your children.”
“That is a beautiful way to put it. Yes, I do think so.” God said while smiling. “I appear in the form of children when I think one needs to meet one’s own inner child.”
“Am I still dreaming?” I asked, running fingers across my forehead. “I am confused because it feels like I am awake, but my body feels way too light?” I asked.
“It is not your body that feels light, but it is your soul. Your inner child has pressed the green light button and opened the door of the imaginary cosmos to your mind. When this happens, one’s soul travels afar. Sometimes it approaches me and talks to me; sometimes it roams the universe and borrows its colors to paint one’s life with happiness.”
“So, is this how it feels to be on the other side of the door?” I asked.
“To the soul that is always awake and feels the universe just like I do, it does not matter which side it is. Either side will feel like heaven. It will feel as if it has spent every moment with me.”
I did not care if I was awake or sleeping anymore. My soul was enjoying its trip to heaven. It was happy, and I let it be.
