Southlake DPS says a Southlake police officer immediately thought he saw a dog fall into an icy lake and struggled to grab a small sheet of ice. When officers arrived at the lake, they saw a dog struggling to hold on to the ice, with most of its body submerged. The dog and its owner both went missing Monday after falling into an icy lake, and local police officer Tyler Ward rescued them.

Shrewsbury fire chief James Vuona said it would be better for the dog owner to seek help than to try to save himself. Photos from Tiffany McCallister show the authorities paddling through thick ice to reach Rocky before officers pulled her out of the water by boat. Rocky, the dog, and the turkey were taken from the lake and taken to the docks where the owners were waiting, the Fire Department said.

On Wednesday, owner Thomas Walsh and five-year-old dog Diesel found a man struggling to get out of a pond while walking on a Massachusetts lake.

Odessa, Texas (KOSA) - A Odessa firefighter caught on camera saved a dog's life. Southlake DPS released a six-minute video of the rescue after a dog fell across an ice sheet earlier this week and a dog and its owner were rescued from a small ice pool in Southlake, Texas.
