I was staring out the right window of the car Corrand picked up some time within the past 30 hours. As I watched I did not really notice anything. Trees. Lots of trees. The odd random house which looked like they are there because there is a farm near by. But not to my eyes. I couldn't farm land anywhere. I start to zone out into my head again. Focusing on the trip that is soon to happen. I start to imagine having a poutine in Canada. Just a basic, hot, and gravy filled poutine. I get pulled back as she says something.
"Corrand?" He looks up into the rear view mirror and says "yes?" she stares out the back window and points "that was your supposed to be turn." visibly confused he responds in an uncertain tone. "Are you sure about that?" She responds with "yes." I look at Corrand and gives a slight vertical shake of my head letting him know that he did miss that road , suggesting that that was in fact she was right.
Corrand turned the car around and made a left turn. The next thing we knew we were heading off to Toronto. A little bit of information, the road that we are taking will send us on a complete straight path to Toronto. We went back to doing what we were doing previously. I went back to staring out the window, Corrand so focused on the road road that he did not even notice me waving at him, and she was counting the strands of her hair, strange right? We can do this for a very long time. But once we get there the journey car activities would have to end. Well, I hadn't really planned any activities, well maybe one. "Hey," I surprise them. "How about we play 'name the thing?'" Corrand lets out a chuckle. Not a huge one just a slight of sort of suggesting that he remembers that game. "Cool. I'm in." He says.
We played the game for 5 hours. I am not sure why. Maybe it was the fact that there were a lot of people just scurrying by that we could consistently talk about the colours of the cars, just kidding there wasn't. It was basically a barren wasteland of just empty fields and the correction on the turn. This must be what they were talking about. The drop zone, I did not mention this before to you the reader but, everything still works lights, electrical outlitts, gas stations, water you name it it still worked. As you may be able to guess is the fact that there is no one to really operate it. So in conclusion, there are a lot of things that are missing such as greetings, missing those the most.
"Uhhh, red barn." I answer Corrands question as if he thought I wasnt listening. He hates when I do that because I can be thinking about creating a symphony in my head while sitting down and doing math. Math simply bores me, performance is interesting but not quite what is the goal but it is super nice to know that I can be in-delved into something that I can think about while doing something else. Simply said, it takes a lot of thinking.
"Yea, I got one." I stare out to the horizon line and smile. Corrand instantly guesses the road. I smile and say "no." To help the reader a bit more my voice is not deep nor is it middle tone somewhere in between there like I don't sound like the bass drops in 'Cinema' but I also do not have the rapping voice like Drake. Interesting to me though is that my voice just sits there never really changing since I was really young, like really young. I find myself wondering why but after 2 hours of thinking and reading an article by of course Harvard I couldn't find the answer, see I get bored easily, but never give up I still search for the answer. Oh yea by the way. They still have not gotten the answer, it was really simple. I pointed straight forward. "I said the horizon!" Corrand responds "Yes you did but, it was the very fatigued far from us, cold like cloud away from us." He stares off into the distance and says "I cannot see a single thing!" I smile, "I can!" Uproar from the back seat. I completely forgot there was three of us because Corrand does most of the guessing so you kinda just let him guess and if he gets it right then you most definitely know. The sad thing is that you miss other peoples answers because of situations like this. There is a large notice by everyone that knew him that when you play any guessing game Corrand will lead it and usually he will think of every possibility, very quickly. Corrand stared at me with a brief glance. I smiled back and waved. This is usually where we end the game one because one the roads got emptier and emptier, and two night was coming well not exactly but it was getting dark way sooner than it usually did, maybe Winter was coming. "alright, I am off to take a nap." "Uhhh, NO YOU DON'T!" Corrand pulls me forward staring at me with a smoke in his mouth, sure he is 19 but he says it lets him think faster, what ever that means. I do not argue I have read papers how its a substitute for the hormones that settle nerves causing certain interactions in your body to produce a fake dopamine. Here is the most interesting fact. The chemicals in the smoke or a smoke is about as bad as mixing bleach with dish soap, or worse ammonia. "HAHAHAAAA" I let out a huge laugh. "Funny cause there are reasons why I don't tell you to stop doing that." I lean forward so he can see me without looking at me seeing the road in his view. He looks at me and slightly nods his head. The whole time this happens she is staring at us and is waiting for the big reveal but there is not one.
