Hi Present Me,

I hope this letter finds you well and filled with the kind of peace that only comes after growth. It’s strange to think about where we are now compared to where we once were, isn’t it? I often wonder if I would even recognize you if I met you on the street. So much has changed, yet some things, like my dreams and our deep connection to Krishna, remain constant.

You might not be where you imagined we’d be, but I can already tell that you’ve come so far. I remember when we felt lost, unsure of what to do next, with a heart full of aspirations but not knowing the steps to take. I know I used to stress about getting everything right, about finding the perfect path to success and happiness. It was a tough time—those years spent doubting if we were on the right track, feeling like there was so much more to achieve.

But as I write this, I have a sense of peace that I didn’t have before. I know you’ve faced challenges—many of them—but you’ve held on, and that’s something to be proud of. I know you didn’t give up, and I want you to take a moment to appreciate that. You’ve put in the work, you’ve persevered, and even when things weren’t easy, you kept moving forward. That’s courage, and it matters more than anything.

I remember dreaming about our future, about the life we wanted to build. We talked about finding financial freedom, about reaching $700,000 through KDP, about creating stories that touch people and build a legacy. I hope you’ve seen some of that come to life. If not yet, don’t worry, I know the potential is there. Every word you’ve written, every story shared on Vocal Media, is another step toward something bigger. And I believe in you—no matter where you are on this journey, you are on the right path.

You’re so much more than the setbacks you might be facing. It’s easy to get caught up in feeling like things aren’t progressing fast enough. But think about it: you’ve already written 1,000 stories! That’s incredible. So many people never start, let alone reach that milestone. Don’t let yourself get discouraged. The money, the recognition, they will come in time. But it’s the work that matters most—the way you keep creating and learning from each experience. Keep that spark alive. Let your passion guide you, and trust that everything else will fall into place.

I know we’ve always been deeply connected to Krishna. I trust you’re still nurturing that bond, finding moments of peace and guidance in His teachings. There’s strength there, in that devotion. It’s been a steady force in our life, a reminder that, even in our struggles, there’s always a higher purpose guiding us forward. You’re never truly alone in this journey. Keep leaning on that connection. It will give you the courage and wisdom to face whatever comes your way.

As I think about the future, I realize how much we’ve grown. There was a time when we felt unsure, when every decision seemed like a monumental choice. But I trust that you’ve learned to be more confident in your decisions, to embrace the unknown with grace. It’s not about having everything figured out—it’s about taking one step at a time and knowing that each step matters.

I hope that, by now, you’ve also learned to be kinder to yourself. The world can be demanding, and you’re often your harshest critic. But I want you to remember that self-compassion is just as important as any goal you set. You deserve love, from others and from yourself. Celebrate every victory, no matter how small it may seem.

So, here’s to you, present me. Keep going, stay focused, and remember that every day is a new chance to grow. I’m proud of you. The past me would be proud of you, too. You’ve got this.

With all my faith,

Your Past Self

What a great letter to yourself to give yourself a little self-examination of what and how you are feeling so far. Good job.
