Kartiki was a beautiful girl, with a heart full of love and a mind filled with curiosity. She lived in a small village nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Her father was a farmer and her mother a homemaker. She had two younger brothers and a sister who was her best friend.

Kartiki had big brown eyes that shone like stars in the night sky, and her hair was a luscious black that fell in waves down her back. She had a warm smile that could light up anyone's day and a contagious laugh that made everyone around her feel happy.

From a young age, Kartiki was curious about the world outside her village. She loved reading books and learning new things. She would spend hours sitting under the shade of a tree, reading books that her father brought from the nearby town. She was particularly interested in science and technology and would often dream of becoming an engineer one day.

But life was not easy in the village. Kartiki's family was poor, and they struggled to make ends meet. Her father would work long hours in the fields, and her mother would spend her days taking care of the household chores. Despite the challenges, Kartiki never lost her smile and her love for life.

As Kartiki grew up, she became more determined to pursue her dreams. She would often ask her father to teach her about the machines he used on the farm. She would watch in fascination as he repaired broken tools and machinery. She would ask him questions about how things worked and why they were designed that way. Her father was amazed by her curiosity and would answer all her questions patiently.

One day, a group of engineers visited the village. They were there to install a new water pump that would help the farmers irrigate their fields more efficiently. Kartiki was thrilled to see the engineers at work. She watched them with awe as they unpacked their tools and got to work. She asked them questions about what they were doing, and they were happy to answer. They could see the passion in her eyes, and they encouraged her to pursue her dreams of becoming an engineer.

Kartiki knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, but she was determined to follow her dreams. She started spending more time studying and learning about science and technology. She would often walk for hours to the nearby town to borrow books from the library. She would read them late into the night, often falling asleep with a book in her hand.

As Kartiki grew older, she became more confident in her abilities. She started helping her father on the farm, repairing broken tools and machinery. She would often come up with innovative ideas to improve the farm's efficiency, and her father was amazed by her skills.

One day, a local NGO visited the village. They were looking for young people with an interest in science and technology to participate in a training program. Kartiki applied for the program and was selected along with a few other young people from the village.

The program was a life-changing experience for Kartiki. She learned about the latest technologies and innovations in the field of engineering. She met other young people who shared her passion for science and technology. She made friends and connections that would last a lifetime.

After the program, Kartiki knew that she had found her calling. She wanted to study engineering and use her knowledge to help her village and other rural communities. But there were challenges ahead. Her family could not afford to send her to college, and there were no engineering colleges in the area.

Kartiki did not give up. She applied for scholarships and grants and worked hard to get good grades in her high school exams. She wrote to universities and colleges in the nearby towns, asking for information about their engineering programs.
