My morning started quite as usual—with a migraine, an existential crisis, and a shitload of work. I keep washing down all these lovely amenities with numerous cups of bitter and thick coffee. I don't complain. The migraine lets me know that I'm pretty much alive. The existential crisis raises the question–why am I alive? Finally, the shitload of work answers this question and keeps me entertained.
Evening falls. On my way home, I notice a banana tree. It's all green and yellow. My favorite colors. Life is beautiful.

I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. This is so confusingly funny, I don't know how to explain it. It reads like my favorite kind of sarcasm, though, and I think I read it like 6 times. I feel like there's something important about this line, "The existential crisis raises the question–why am I alive?" and Banana Joe. Am I missing the core point of this story? Maybe. But damn, that banana tree is beautiful.

Andrei, I can really relate to the line where you indicate that the migraine basically just lets you know you’re alive! I feel that pain and know it all too well! Also I laughed outlaid at the “banana tree”, life is funny like this sometimes!
