WISDOM

Wisdom is a virtue that has been highly valued throughout history. The Bible is one of the most important sources of wisdom, and it provides guidance on how to live a fulfilling life. In this article, we will explore the concept of wisdom in the Bible and how it can be applied to current issues and niches.

The Bible has many passages that discuss wisdom. One of the most famous is Proverbs 1:7, which states, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." This passage emphasizes the importance of having a healthy respect for God and His teachings. It also highlights the fact that wisdom is not something that can be gained through intelligence alone. Rather, it is a gift from God that must be sought after. Good example is in Wisdom Chapter 9, King Solomon, understanding his assignment as the king of the people of God, he prayed unto God for wisdom in order to gorven the poeple with justice. God answered his prayer in a special way making him one of a kind.

Another important passage is James 1:5, which states, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." This passage emphasizes the fact that wisdom is something that can be obtained through prayer and faith. It also highlights the fact that wisdom is not something that is reserved for the elite or the intelligent. Rather, it is something that is available to everyone. Something that everyone needs to have. Here we also see the generosity of God to His people. The only limitation to wisdom or lack of it, according to this passage, is not asking. In Matt 7:7 we are reminded, Ask and it shall be given to you.

In today's world, there are many issues that require wisdom. One of the most pressing is climate change. The Bible teaches us to be good stewards of the earth and to take care of the environment. This means that we must be wise in our use of resources and in our treatment of the planet. We must also be wise in our approach to politics and social issues. The Bible teaches us to love our neighbours as ourselves and to seek justice for the oppressed. This means that we must be wise in our interactions with others and in our advocacy for those who are marginalized.

There are many areas where wisdom is needed. For example, in business, wisdom is required to make sound decisions and to navigate complex situations. In education, wisdom is needed to teach effectively and to guide students in their learning. In healthcare, wisdom is required to provide compassionate care and to make difficult ethical decisions. In bringing up children in the right way, wisdom is required. In all of these areas, the Bible provides guidance on how to be wise and how to make good decisions and most importantly where to get the correct kind of wisdom for every situation.

In conclusion, wisdom is a virtue that is highly valued in the Bible. It is something that can be obtained through prayer and faith, and it is something that is available to everyone. In today's world, there are many issues that require wisdom, and the Bible provides guidance on how to be wise in all areas of life. By following the principles of wisdom, we can live fulfilling lives and make a positive impact on the world around us.
