The sign is better

Manifestation

By Nicole PaynePublished 5 years ago 3 min read

Picking up the small new black notebook and writing... I am grateful for....

The phone rings it is grandma again. She keeps forgetting that I can't help her like I used to. I wish it was different but the accident left me well, in this chair. Looking down at my little black notebook and thinking you helped save me from a life of self-pity. I am so glad I made a commitment to live a life of gratitude before the accident happened.

"Hello Charles."

"Hello grandma."

"Charles I need you to clean the gutters for me, since your grandpa died, I don't know what to do."

"Grandma I can help find you someone but I am in a wheelchair remember?"

It almost stinks as I have to remember. I used to help grandma all the time before it happened.

"Oh yes dear, I am so sorry I forgot this mind ain't what it used to be."

"I understand grandma. How about I come over a little later today?"

"Oh I would love that and so would Nancy, she loves you so much Charles. She hasn't seen you since her husband passed. You were so helpful to them and never asked a dime."

After the conversation finished, Charles looked at his small black notebook. He was about to finish writing his gratitute but somethng inside him told him to wait. He had learned to listen to the intution of that small sweet voice. Charles flipped to the last few pages of the gratitude notebook, on those pages he had listed things he wanted to manifest. He knew he needed to start small so he listed 5,000. Charles did not know how he would manifest it but he knew he would. He needed the manifestation as a sign that he could do anything even being able to walk again. Charles had always been an out of the box thinker. He didn't care what other people said. He believed all things were possible when tapping into the healing power of life.

Charles got into his vehicle and drove to his grandma's home. As he got out the neighbor Nancy saw him. She had heard about the accident but was consumed with grief because her husband died around that time. She always felt bad for not doing more for Charles. As a child Charles used to come over regularly and do work for her and her husband. Nancy's husband tried to pay Charles but Charles refused to take a dime from them.

"Charles, I have your favorite cookies and almond milk can you come over when you are done with your grandma?"

"Sure, I can't pass up the best cookies in town."

Nancy waited for her it seemed like an eternity and then she heard the knock on her door.

Inviting Charles in, Nancy brought out the cookies.

"Charles I am sorry I wasn't there for you...."

"It is ok, I know your husband died around that time, I wish I could have been there more for you." Charles reached out his hand to touch Nancy's brown dotted skin.

Nancy patted Charle's hand. "You have always been a good boy. There is something important I have to share with you. Before Harold died he asked me to do something. Every dime you did not take from us for all that work, well Harold invested in it and put it in a separate account for you.. well for a time you might need it or after he died." A tear started down Nancy's cheek as Charles swallowed hard.

"Well, I guess the best way to explain it is with this check." Nancy handed a check for $20,000 to Charles.

Charles almost didn't take it but then he realized that this was the manifestation he had in the back of his book. He thought this is probably why the gratitude book told me to wait. When Charles looked at the check an overwhelming feeling of knowing overtook him. This was the sign he was looking for. There was no question in his mind, he would walk again. knew this was the sign he would walk again.
